Summer transfer window.

I'm sure that Zat suggested that we should be in for Archie Gray.

Bloody hell that kids nowhere near good enough to play at PL level.

Been atrocious for Spurs today

Yep think 19 year old Archie Gray has quality. Didnt watch the game as it was the middle of the night for me.

Was he right back in a back 4? I think he's best there but this season he's mostly been at DM (where he wants to play) and also RWB, CM, LB with this game only being his 2nd this season at RB (if he was RB?).

Last season he was used all over the place. DM, CM, RWB, LWB and even multiple games at CB.

I'd love us to sign him and use him as RB in a back 4. If not for Aznou i'd also go for Myles Lewis Skelly whose barely used by Arsenal thesedays.

I think its a bit odd to say "hes nowhere near good enough to play at PL level" when he clearly has been over numerous games.

Posters also saying the same about Dibling who showed he was good enough at Southampton.

Its a weird hill to die on against a 19 year old.

Looking forward to the 'misunderstood' and subsequent 'backpeddling' when he becomes an England player.

Me too. However, I'm trying to fall half way between what I'd like to see and what I think our current manager will do.

Moyes will go for experience every single time.

The owners should want to go for youth most times.

Clear disconnect.

If as expected Moyes continues as manager then I hope Delap & Grealish if signed are both on loan, rather than for a mooted £50mil+.

Rohl is an obligation at £17.5mil and I expect George's option is £20mil+

Its a head scratcher that the best part of £90mil could be spent on fees for the 4.

Delap is the real headscratcher though, not going to be cheap. Rohl is a good option to have and so is George for the outlay.

How are all 4 of them better players than Aznou and Patterson?
Oh they aren’t necessarily better footballers. But definitely more involved and effective. Covs RB is PL capable, better in most respects than Patto (and reaches the penalty spot with throw ins if that matters).

Aznou looks a special footballer, but “currently” is not a PL left back. I’d happily play in front of Myko further forward, but not instead of him.

Obviously not suggesting we buy a load of solid Championship players. But it’s clearly possible to buy one RB back and one LB from the championship and start them tonight against United and we’d be a better team. Not long term, but definitely at the moment. We seem to wait and wait to find a unicorn, then when we do pounce, apparently they are 12 months away from being strong enough to actually play games.

Gray got utterly schooled Zat as he has done all season, he is not a PL player, he might be in the future but certainly doesn't look one at the moment. I still don't know what all this good form you say Dibling showed was when he was at Saint's is, as for England you have to be kidding, I mean Saka is still young enough that the right hand side is his for as long as he wants it then there is Madueke behind him, Palmer has even played there. He also is not going to play in the middle ahead of Palmer, Rodgers, or Foden either. Evertonians like you are hyping Dibling more than any Saints fan I know ever did.

I'd be trying to sell Rohl as soon as possible. George hopefully gets a decent amount of game time and is used alongside players rather than isolated.

Could do with his speed and direct play.

I'd rather be signing those players 12months away (deemed so by the manager) than over 23 aged championship players in important positions.

Id hope Aznou is considered ready by end of this season as he certainly looked ready to get on the pitch in his cameo.

The likes of Myles Lewis Skelly & Archie Gray or Michael Kayode would be the players id be after if we didnt have anyone there.

If you saw Dibling at Southampton then surely you'd have noted his attributes? You'd have seen him have some good games, some great games as well as average and poor ones.

So, to say you havent seen good form or good play is a bit odd.

Saying Gray doesnt look a premier league player when hes also had great and good games is again, odd.

I dont really care who is in the England squads. Dibling & Gray have the potential and talent to get into them down the track.

Ive said Dibling would be a good player to go for, for over 12months. Not my problem if you know a couple of Southampton fans who dont know how to spot a quality young player when its staring them in the face.

Perhaps fans like that are why Southampton are crap? Idk & idc.

We will see in the future but I don't agree on either player.

AG played at RB.

I've seen him play for Leeds and he was promising. I've seen him play a few games for Spurs, mostly in midfield and he was ok but without making any great impression.
Yesterday he was woeful. Terrible in possession, like a rabbit in the headlights and physically weak and was knocked off the ball by that heavyweight Trossard.
Your dream right hand side of Gray and Dibling would give me nightmares and have the opposition licking their lips

Spurs fans think highly of him. I’d imagine they’re the best judge of the quality of him. He had a bad game, every teenager does from time to time.

This is kind of all moot as he won’t be going anywhere unless spurs go down (highly unlikely), and even then he’d be so far down the list of priorities of spurs trimming the fat that he’d probably still be there next season.

I watched the Chelsea game at the weekend. Delap came on as a sub late in the second half and did nothing worth mentioning. Not sure why we would be after him when Barry is outperforming him.
