Up there with the worst of them , and after years of being skint too , unforgivableLet’s hope it’s better than last summer which just looks more and more like a skip fire.
Rohl, Dibling, Aznou and Alcaraz for about £80 million and none are close to getting a game. And £27 million on a striker that struggles with the basics.
Absolutely shocking window.
Not too many 6ft3 Japanese players, so I doubt it.Everton have supposedly been offered a tour of Japan in the summer.
Maybe we can get a few bargains out there?

On a serious note, I watch a decent amount of Japanese footy just because it's free on YouTube and it's a very, very big jump up from there to the prem. The style of football is hugely different too.

Mitoma at Brighton has done fine, there are a few decent ones in the Championship, the standout player from that region is Kubo who we tried for last summer but he was never coming here imo.You see them in the SPL or the Bundesliga and you think they can do a job here. But you're right, I cant think of too many that are a massive success. That Endo at Liverpool looks nothing.
There are other managers who would have happily used those players though, Its 100% on Moyes for me. He loves reminding everyone that he has the final say on recruitment yet is reluctant to use any of the players bought. A sensible board is not handing DM any more money till he starts getting the best out of what he has and if he starts kicking up a fuss then get someone who will get the best out of them.It was as bad as window as imaginable. Yes we needed numbers, but we needed to fill it with first team players, or players who would at least be used.
10 players signed, only KDH and Grealish we can safely say have been successful ( and Jacks season has ended halfway through the season ).
I'd imagine TFG would be very hesitant on handing over another 100m this summer without some serious questions being asked of Moyes and the recruitment team
Kagawa, Mitoma, Okazaki, Minamino, Tomiyasuall did fine (or better) at PL level.Mitoma at Brighton has done fine, there are a few decent ones in the Championship, the standout player from that region is Kubo who we tried for last summer but he was never coming here imo.
Yeah Mitoma is the pick of them.Mitoma at Brighton has done fine, there are a few decent ones in the Championship, the standout player from that region is Kubo who we tried for last summer but he was never coming here imo.
What should the consequences be, Kev? Stocks in the public square? Everyone throwing rotten cabbages at him?And here is the problem with the Zat types with their long list of players we should have bought. They get most of them wrong but there is absolutely no consequence.
