Summer transfer window.

Delap is a really good player, proper old fashioned in the 9 position.

Would love him.

His 'style of play' would suit Moyes.

Delap Waltemade, etc - they are not coming here. End of... We will be looking in the Turkish and Dutch leagues my friends.

You're saying we're signing Osimhen & Icardi?

Watched the West Brom v Cov game today. All 4 started full backs contributed more with the ball than anything we have, and 2 of them were crap. What are we doing. It’s simply nowhere near as hard as we make it look.

How are all 4 of them better players than Aznou and Patterson?

We shouldn’t be buy player to suit a Moyes style imo. How long is he likely to be here. And then do we replace him with a manager who plays the same ?
Which would be a disaster

In an ideal world (because I don't want Moyes managing Everton in his mid-60s), the club would already have negotiated a payoff for this summer with him and he working on a long-term appointment several decades younger than Mr. Moyes.

As a result, it would be awful if he was 'signing off' or even giving input into potential transfers this summer.

That having been said, I can't see any world where he departs this summer, so he'll effectively be in charge of who ultimately comes and goes from the club.

Let's hope the owners are willing to put in significant money and are not quite literally banking on Branthwaite going as a starting point for incoming deals.

Idk I’m just looking at how Delap can’t really score for Chelsea - so what on God’s green earth makes anyone think he’ll post better numbers here?

Look at DCL, liberated from the curse of the Everton #9. Given our attacking play is so dire for the most part, we can reasonably expect him to continue struggling if he comes here.

Plus Chelsea will of course be looking for more than they paid for him, unless they loan him out.

It’s a swerve from me.

Hes the one in charge of transfers so until hes sacked he'll be signing who he wants.
That’s a terrible model from TFG if they let that continue, first summer with all the upheaval and some people late into their roles, you can understand it . But no excuses this summer. If Moyes stays then maybe he gets a player or two IE Grealish. Bit the rest should be seen as for now 23 to 25 and future 19 to 22

Because Delap is a physical striker who likes the direct game which suits our style better than Cheatsea's. By your logic how did Delap manage to score 12 Premier League goals for Ipswich considering they have a lot worse players than Cheatsea

First 2 paragraphs I agree With, not the last 2.

I think he could easily be removed this summer. He wasn’t the man TFG wanted, hands were forced somewhat in the January, if the man they want is available why wait.
Also the season isn’t finished we could get 8th and quite easily finish 14th, Witt the poor home form and the tough run of fixtures, I will be amazed if we get top 10.

And unless Branthwaite demands a move same as Ndiaye, they wont be going anywhere. TFG spent 130mil last summer the rumour is they will spend the same, maybe more this summer. We also have squad players hardly getting games who could be moved on and we could raise 70/80mil from them sales
