Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Justin was fine pre-injuries, I wouldn't touch him now though

Dude played 36 PL games last season to be fair to him mate.

39 in the Championship the year before.

My take would be he improves the squad.

We aren’t going to get every position perfect in one window and given Tete was plan A this is a position we’ve targeted to compromise to try and improve within a range with value without getting it perfect this window.

Priority should be forward positions which is the weakest part of the team.

Chelsea were in 4 different comps last season and he was playing as part of their second squad in those. I don't begrudge him going to Chelsea to play with the manager who got the best out of him and being at a club which had a chance of being in the CL. It was worth the shot to try and push on as a player. It's no shame either to not have got ahead of Enzo and Caicedo.

You seem to have a really high threshold as to what is good enough for Everton, a team that finished 13th last season and a team that's going to be starting with James Garner in midfield at this rate. That's a low benchmark yet you're setting the benchmark very high for some reason. In the midfield names that have been suggested here or we have been linked with id rather have Luiz > KDGH > Brownhill, but I think a player of Luiz's ilk is going to be hard for us to attract. I think we need two anyway and Luiz and KDH would be a good two to go for, they'd both upgrade us instantly.
I want Luiz but unlikely. I bet he goes to Forest.

It also means Patterson is not deemed to be good enough by the coaches…I guess.

I think it’s the position we’re most prepared to compromise and earmarked for value mate. I think we’l roll with Jake and one other maybe James - I think Patterson might go, if we do James.
Why on earth James Justin, he is an atrociously bad player and I'd rather we stuck 6m quid in a pile and burn it, he's Patterson levels bad, the solution to having a woeful right back is t to spend money signing an even older, just as woeful right back.

I remember him being a decent player but I also remember him being part of an awful defence last season . I’m also not convinced Leicester fans see losing him as a loss , which is obviously a worry in itself .

We’ve needed a right back for years , if we’re going to sign one id like them to be a significant step up from what we’ve got and despite what we’ve got I’m not sure Justin is .
