Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

TFG Managerial appointments -

Mourinho, vast knowledge of Serie A, free agent
De Rossi, caretaker fan favourite, vast knowledge of Serie A as a player, free agent
Ranieri, vast knowledge of Serie A and club, free agent
Gasperini, vast knowledge of Serie A, free agent

Everton

Moyes, vast knowledge of Premier League and club, free agent

It's really not hard to see the pattern they typically look for given outside of De Rossi the average age is way over 60.

Alot of people are in for a shock if they're expecting some sort of younger manager progression plan.

Wouldn't even finish last on sprint day.

So basically what you're saying is 'Welcome Alan Pardew'.

A manager who can...

1. Take players, develop them
2. Has more than 1 tactic, which encourages players to drive at defences and not try to pass through them
3. A manager who plays effective football
4. An ambitious manager
5. A manager who has no ties to the old regime.
All of this. Moyes has none of these attributes. The desire for this type of manager needs to come from the top though. And I'd apply point 5 to the coaching set up as well as the manager. Our togger is out of date.

Iraola was looking like the sexy choice earlier this season, wheels have fell off a bit for Bournemouth now though.

I'm sure he won't be happy with not being able to hang on to any of his players tbf.
Yeah I think he’d be the one I went for, but given TF looks like he’ll be out of Spurs sometime soon, it wouldn’t surprise me if they went back for him

Nagelsmann will likely be sacked in July.

Depends on how they do.

Its fantasy to think 2 thirds of that list would even consider the job mate

Why so? The other third may be good :)

Wow id not twigged this at all

I feel like Howe is written in the stars. I’d be surprised if he never manages us. New stadium and investment, he’s been doing his apprenticeship so far building up to taking us to better places. It’s a bit Roy of the Rovers but it just feels meant to be. He’s not so much of a superstar that he would turn his nose up at us a there is still enough of a project here for him to get his teeth into. He’s on a hiding to nothing if he goes to Manure or the like. He’s seems an intelligent chap, the smart move for him is the mighty Ev.

I can tell you how they'll do: out as soon as they meet a good side.

The current German national team is dire.

At his age he'll have managed the national side and Bayern.

Has a decent mix about him and can switch styles to suit the team.

Could be a good long term bet.
