Oh we wish him all the best.Oh we love you John etc.Pass me a sick bucket.John Stones made a decision to leave Everton. Therefore i couldn't give a rattling monkeys about him anymore.I lost respect for him after the way he mocked the crowd with that patronising calm down gesture last season.Oh well im looking forward to seeing John Stones get a very special reception both on and off the pitch when he returns to Goodison.I won't say anymore than that before i get nasty.

I am just happy we got better value for him after a very poor season that left him in many worst 11 lists.

I have no ill will for him. His ability on the ball is downright sexy. His defending is below average at best.

I voted 'cheese on toast' because 'we will be a better defensive team without him' was not an option.

the bitter side of everton fandom really depresses me. haven't read the thread for that reason. sorry to the fans that are so insecure about the club's future that they can't let a player go without grand narratives of betrayal playing in their head.

sure this guy is a incredibly lucky millionaire, but he's also 22, trying to do right by himself and his family and friends all the while being hounded by morons fed stories from the papers. his treatment by the fans was pretty sad, and it's no wonder to me that he wanted out. most of the fans wanted out from martinez so I don't know why so many crap on a young man who could've had his reputation ruined with a particularly terrible year under a manager so many of us hold to be completely inept defensively. he was a professional about it and did his best by my reckoning even while he made the mistakes that a young, talented and confident footballer will make.
