Im not sure what to think about John Stones to be honest, he put in a transfer request but kept his head down until the clubs agreed a deal, so fair play to him.

Compare this to Romelu Lukaku who wont hand in a transfer request through losing loyalty bonuses etc yet runs his mouth off to everybody/anybody willing to listen.

I think John Stones has moved for the 'pep factor' and his England chances more than money.

Currently, our lack of bitterness ( only just over 10% could be said to be anti-Stones ) doesn't really match what some say about us.
Well in to the lurkers for voting.

Indeed. Gary Cahill. But then, like many old Evertonians, perhaps the players I'd choose are a little too 'agricultural' for the younger generation who prefer a more 'open', five-a-side style game to the old eleven-a-side togger.

Apparently, being able to dribble the ball out from the back takes precedent over aerial ability, positional awareness, marshalling a defence and going to ground when the need arises. Not forgetting, of course, knowing when to launch the ball into row zed in the interests of the team rather than showing off just to put yourself in the shop window; oh, that's right, that villain of the peace Martinez made them do that, so I'll let 'them' off.

Perhaps I'm just a little too long in the tooth to follow the modern game of soccer.

Nah, Gary Cahill is just awful and an absolute dog of a defender.

Still love John to bits and will genuinely be following his career closely at City. Extremely professional, never piped up, had to sit through a year of being totally shafted by Martinez, and moved for the opportunity of working with arguably the best manager in the world who also has the most perfect style for the way he plays and with a ridiculously world class squad just down the road from where he already lives.

Hard to imagine having hard feelings about it.

Seems like a nice lad so difficult to dislike him. Been wanting away for 2 summers, got loads of money for him so it's a nea from me. I have a feeling he won't go into great things, he's not physically imposing enough and makes too many mistakes. Cashing in on him before he's found out is s great bit of business as far as I'm concerned. The way he played this year I thought we'd belucky to get what Chelsea offered last year. Made up with what City are giving us.

He handed in a transfer request, but in fairness he tried his best when he was here and didn't sulk. He did everything legit, so I wish him well.

I thought we'd miss the boat when Chelsea came in for 40m bid. Didn't think we'd see that again considering his performances last season.

The lad isn't an Evertonian, and has had the opportunity to work with arguably the World's best manager, at a club who'll be competing for the title and in the CL.

Who can blame him wanting to potentially improve and challenge himself given that scenario?

We made a £40m profit on him, and he never took the piss in terms of downing tools, good luck to him.

My sentiments as well matey. People who say he cant defend talk utter crap sometimes. Im sure his style of football will begin to shine with better players around him. There were times last season he was made to look poor because other players weren't on the same wavelength as him. At times they stood round like cardboard cut outs, making it difficult for to play and move. Said before, good luck to him, no hard feelings from me.

hope he snaps his legs and does a rodwell, all for players wanting to better themselves and no problem with it, it's how you go about it, constantly handing in transfer requests and kicking up a fuss 2 years in a row despite us sticking by him when he was awful in the second half of the season ( more brown shoes fault )

saying that the lad is absolute class and will be amazing under pep so it's just wanna them init

If he was at a foreign club then i would wish him well, but he broke my heart going to another english club so i hope his legs explode violently.
