Still annoyed that Shawcross never got one talking to about the shirt pulling, arm grabbing and bear hugging the little prîck did all game. Let Stoke play however they want but they need to stop blatant cheating that is so obvious to see.

Just some thoughts from the match today. I haven't read the thread so if its already said I apologies.

Firstly, credit has to be given to Pulis and his team. The back line was well organised and held up really well. Nzonzi was in front of fellaini for every high ball and Jelavic had two men on him the entire time. Both Felli and Jelavic were entirely cancelled out. Howard should not have been kicking long balls!

The time when we played well, was when we had it down and passed. However, the only route forward was on the left and Coleman looked lost getting forward due to Naismith lack of ability. There seemed no link up play on the right. I hate to say it, and I am not sure if Vic is fit, but he would give more opportunity down the right. Naismith had a great chance on goal and should have buried it, apart from that, his contribution as limited to say the least.

I still haven't decided if Howard thought the ball was going wide, reacted late or pulled out of the save in case he smashed his head on the post, but I do think we need to sign a real goalie as competition. He's been a great servant but I do think he's got it easy at the moment.

Time to change things in the game, Fellaini was already playing deeper - right thing to do, and Naismith was taken off. On came Barkley. We have been waiting for him to come back with baited breath, but he went out towards the right. Not his natural position and therefore not a great improvement on Naismith.

I personally would have liked Vellios to come on to pull one of the defenders off Jelavic and play 4-4-2, with Ozzie moving to the right and Fellaini and Gibson holding midfield.

I thought Jags, Baines, Osman and Pienaar had decent games but my MOM goes to a solid performance from Distin.

Finally saw the Fellaini incidents. What an utter tit. Might get up to 9 games says Lawrenson. Find it a bit of a pisstake that stuff like this gets punished after the event but serial diving doesn't. Both deserve punishment to stop players doing it.

Missed the game due to work, case of after the lord mayor's show following the Spurs game last week. Fellaini's antics were pure stupidity, to go in with the head is bad enough but to then do it again with and elbow then later punch him is bang out of order and deserves a 3-4 game ban if not longer

The thing is, how is ANYTHING that Shawcross and those other thugs doing ANY different to the peno City got from us?

This is what happens when we get fcked, people get HURT YO.

Is anyone else worried that could be Fellainis last game for us if he gets a lengthy ban. Relations with DM must be strained already after basically saying if we don't qualify for CL he wants out. If a big enough offer comes in I wonder if DM will cash in, to save the risk of losing him for less if we don't qualify for CL.

I am sure Felli has been sent off before just before Xmas so he gets permission to go home to Belgium for a nice break - he never looked interested today - the old Felli lashing out on shawcross with his head & hands, but if you comopare how they hold players in the box on corners why no pens given????? city got one for something v us for far less Feli just lost the plot imo!

Yeah, probably what he wanted. I don't think he ever looks interested.
