What were their moments? Kenwyne Jones skying one from 20 yards?

They've scored eight goals at home mate, the second lowest in the league. However they've conceded only three, so you could say we'd done the hard part by getting in front. Their attack is absolutely ****e, they didn't look like scoring because they are ****e.

Jones could have done better a few times. A free shot in the first half. Beating Howard and hitting the post in the second. Adam should have put them ahead at the beginning of the second. Not even counting all the various balls into the box which we dealt well with overall to be fair.

Did we create more chances than them? Did we peg them back inside their own 18 yard box? No, we conceded the midfield and may well have lost.

Again, a decent point. Because you have the better players or passing stats doesn't mean an automatic win. That's Brendan Rodgers chat.

ok, so because fellaini headbutted a guy who was wrestling him every set play, he doesn't care about everton? yep, sounds about right :s he's passionate about this club and has never once said he wanted to leave - leave the knee-jerking alone. He had a poor and frustrating game today, he just wanted to give something back to shawcross and sadly went over the top. He'll get his punishment though, as did phill neville when he dived. Fellaini knows how we work so if he has a strop because his manager didn't defend his headbutt then i'll be surprised.

im sure he doesnt, if he does, woud be very suprised and that would be ridiculous.

Felli is freaking ace, did a mistake thats it FFS

MOVE ON

Moyes reaction was class. We know what Felli puts up with week in week out but no excuses, accept and move on. Its the best policy and we will get our reward in the long run with a pen in a big game.
On reflection, probably not a bad result. Goalkeeping error cost us as far as I'm concerned and I'm sure Davey knows Tim's standards have slipped and we need a replacement. Could be worst, Rodgers says they are a top 2 side!!

but this is the reason why we never get the rub of the green when the refs have howlers other managers highlight it moyes doesnt and when one of our own does a stupid thing Moyes is straight out to point it out like I said if he had done this previously I would agree with Moyes pubically coming out but not when it was a one off against a stoke side that spent all day pulling the lad around the box

yeah he should have been more voicious about ref's performances this season but i don't see how him refusing to comment on a headbutt would help us get a dubious penalty next game. i wouldn't say arsenal get more decisions because wenger constantly says he didn't see things. we'll be honest about things we do, that is what our football club is about. I'd hate to see us revert to kopite behavior and deny ever seeing anything or passing it off as scouse wit

second game in a row Osman's finishing has cost us, while nearly cost us against Spurs, how can a guy whos been a pro aslong as he has not bw able to put his foot through a ball, thought him and Gibson had a poor game, as did Felli of course, though plenty of us flt he should be played deeper.

Barkley's bright cameo made an utter nonsense of Moyes not giving him any time in other games, especially when he is picking the truely dreadful Naismith

I am sure Felli has been sent off before just before Xmas so he gets permission to go home to Belgium for a nice break - he never looked interested today - the old Felli lashing out on shawcross with his head & hands, but if you comopare how they hold players in the box on corners why no pens given????? city got one for something v us for far less Feli just lost the plot imo!

he could of just said he didnt see it though mate and had a word privately with felli, that way felli gets the picture and realises he was an idiot and the FA may only give him a 2-3 game ban whereas now Moyes has given them the green light to make an example of the lad, Kopite behaviour would be for Moyes to week in week out defend felli head butting and trying to injure other players, all I would of liked to have seen is Moyes talk more about the match and when asked about felli say something like "well I never saw the incident myself so I cant comment on it but the officials im sure will look into it"

I was only talking about the first half mate. You said you didn't think we were the better team, we had our moments and they had their moments. Their attacks were launch it and get it in the box, which as you say we dealt with because they're ****e and getting it in the box is all they do, it's not like it's whipped crosses all day long, they just stick it in there.

I haven't said anything about whether our players are better or stats or anything. If Stoke had scored our goal to go 1-0 up I'm sure their fans would expect them to defend properly and win the game.

To my eye, in the first half, we were more dangerous than them and were generally playing better.

It's not the end of the world, I'm not furious, it's just another tempering reflection of our level.

Moyes says anything about the refs he does so in a passing comment. We havent had a peno all season even though we should of about 5 times so far and thats down to the refs being all "these are honest lads".

Us not making a big deal about incidents means nothing happened and the refs dont have to keep it in the back of their mind. Brain McDermott even said the refs told him that because Reading dont appeal decisions on the pitch, they aint getting anything, so it happens.

Yet Moyes is quick to jump on his own player and tell the FA to throw the book at him.

Morally, well done. But grow a backbone when some whopper punches the ball in the box and the ref walks away

How longs he banned for? Looking at it though, it looks like hes trying to run through Shawcross rather than nut him.
