Pienaar on his day was great, especially when he and baines linked in their peak.

However as he aged along with baines, they lost the pace and trickery and therefore effectively in pienaars case reducing his affectiveness

I imagine he will do a job for moyes if used as a late sub, but he is on his last legs

He still has the quality and he never relied on pace, just that first step or two of agility. Naturally regular injuries has taken that away from him.

Wish him the best. Tried himself elsewhere; didn't work. Came back and accepted that this is where he was meant to be. The telepathic link between him and Baines was a joy to watch.
 
I keep thinking back to that season where Baines, Pienaar and Fellani basically just passed circles around the opposition. They were untouchable that year.
