My love for Pienaar died when he swerved us for the money darn saarf.
Don't give me the 'champions league' speech neither, he knew he wouldn't get in over Bale, modric, VDV and such, took the bright lights of London and a pay rise.

Going got tough and he bailed, we took him back because we were desperate.

Maybe not get in over them but it wasn't out of the question that he would be a well used squad player when they rotated and that could have meant Champions League game time. Big jump to the conclusion he solely moved for moolah.

I'm not saying he didn't, mind you. Just that you don't know Paulo Bernardo.

Wow you know my Italian cousin ? Small world ayy ?
In my opinion if Pienaar left to go abroad to say Milan or Ajax for example then I would completely understand, I just don't think - and like you say its not a fact, just a possibility, that Pienaar went there thinking that he would play at least 4 out of the 6 games for Spurs. Everton had gone very stale at that point IMO and we didn't spend a lot of money, maybe that played a part. My problem is that Everton needed him and he bailed, that's why I will always love Tim Cahill, he stayed for the duration IMO.

Did Timmy have a decent offer like Pienaar did? I don't recall many strong links. Spurs looked on the up...wasn't impossible that they might kick on from making top 4 one season, even if they eventually didn't. I think the signs point more towards it being a good opportunity at a time we were just treading water. I didn't begrudge him it at the time.

Let's just agree that I am right Paulinho Bernardinho, and make a wish to Koeman that he brings us a new young Pienaar that stays forever.

I think Arsenal wanted Tim at some point during his time with us.
But yeah I think we both have valid points, Im not going to lose sleep over Pienaar. Thanks for your service we both moved on :)
