If he's not willing to get a pay cut he shouldn't ask other people to. Just keep his mouth shut.

Well, he was willing to get a pay cut, hence him asking everybody to take 1.

Anyway, ive been all over this time and time again, im not Damon, I do see Moyes faults and he has many, im not saying hes perfect, hes far from it.

I just havent lost faith in him yet, it seems a lot has, thats cool, we are all different people, we all have different viewpoints.

We all just want Everton to be superb, sometimes we are, sometimes we get beat by QPR at Home, sometimes we beat City.

In 10 days time we face United, COYB.

Trophies won in the ten years Moyes has been here: 0
Trophies won in the ten years before Moyes was hired: 1

And same amount of relegations and years in the champions league proper.

Royle was a better manager than Moyes, not even going to lie. If we go back to that, I'd be more than happy.

I disagree I thought the route one ball from unsworth to duncan which seemed big joes main tactic used to give me a massive headache.

Not when you can afford players like Cisse, Ba etc.

What I meant to say was, it's impossible with the money we have at disposal.

a) We did it just four years ago mate.

b ) Ba was on a free, wasn't he?

c) Pardew got that money by selling big. We refused big offers for Saha, Jagielka and Rodwell and wasted the Lescott money on Bily.

d) we only had to win one game against inferior opposition to make europe and bottled it.

We didnt refuse the Saha deal mate, he did, we all know that we would have snatched the Turks hand off for the 9m they offered for Saha.

Poor Billy, poor, poor Billy.

a) We did it just four years ago mate.

--- Four years ago City were a mid table team; things change.

b ) Ba was on a free, wasn't he?

--- He was, and we couldn't afford his sign-on fee or agent fee, they could.

c) Pardew got that money by selling big. We refused big offers for Saha, Jagielka and Rodwell and watsed the lescott money on Bily.

--- Whether you're right or not, we still don't have that money at our disposal.

Bolds.

We would have had that money if Moyes was better at knowing when to sell is my point. That's part of a managers job not something out of his control.

A club like Everton SHOULD be challenging top 4 every season, but now, in this league, that takes a lot of money. Money which will never get injected into the playing staff until the current board move on. Moyes does have his downfalls admittedly but most seem to be blaming him for a lot more than he should be blamed for. A manager is only able to work with what he has got, and with what Moyes has had he has done a good job with IMO. Think slating him about his wage is way over the line as well, ridiculous thing to beat him with.

Is it? Ok, maybe there's another stick to beat him with. Given that he constantly states that he determines who goes in or out of the club player-wise, he's had 10 years to craft whatever side he wanted to. That's more than enough time to nail down whatever football philosophy he has in place and to play consistently throughout the whole of the season. Why hasn't he got that in place? He's been 'time rich' and that's an asset the vast mjority of managers never get in the premier league. I'd also note that in that time he's never sorted out anything other than a security blanket five across the midfield safety first approach. He lacks adventure, and that';s because he's a meat and potatoes, non-innovative manager who merely sets out to survive each season. He might talk about ambition, but words are cheap. You need to be bold to be successful and Moyes is about as courageous in team tactics and player selection as he apparently is when he faces his board of directors to ask for funds.

Newcastle are a prime example of why net spend is so deceptive. Their balance sheets will tell you that they flogged £35m worth of 'talent' last year and only replaced it with £23m over the next two windows.

What that figure doesn't explain is that the £35m was for one player and they then bought:

Cisse
Ba
Cabaye
Santon

Among others, strengthening the squad despite having a 'negative net spend'.
