He's got to give Ross a run in the number 10 role now, this putting him on the wing nonsense is doing nobody any favours. Our future hopefully lies in a forward partnership of Lukaku and Barkley, lets start developing it.
You'd think this would be a realization but how many times did he play Osman when literally everyone could see he was well past it? Thats what people from Wigan were saying is his biggest downfall: Martinez doesnt change his 'plan' when things arent working and he doesnt change his mind. Which makes last season so absolutely baffling because he did just about everything right last year and it really seems like he's doing nothing right in the league so far this season.

We're beating ourselves. We really are. Handing teams goals left right and centre. Have we conceded a goal this season were us a fans have thought 'Decent play that' or have we literally sat here saying 'HANDED THEM A GOAL AGAIN', the latter has been said more times than the former thats for sure.
Howard and Distin are chucking points away but Bobby picks them and didn't buy replacements for them

It's the Everton Way and has been since 1987.

...but we weren't useless today. Not sure if Pochetino has worked us out but a few years ago at Soton we struggled against a high tempo pressing game, it was the same today. They smothered us. When that happens you really do need to get beyond your marker and only Barkley looked capable of doing that.

yep. nearly every goal we concede this season we're pointing the blame at someone, whereas for our goal there's not much to be said about pointing the finger.

Naisy to come straight back in when he is fit. His presence adds a bit of bite and intelligence to our play. Good example in the second half today when Lukaku pulled the ball back across the goal and no one gambled for a tap in.....Naismith territory.
I actually agree totally with this. Naismith knows where to find the space and if there isn't any, he creates a bit of space with his angled runs. That's why he keeps scoring against us. He just keeps pulling away from defenders and making angled movements, I like him in the final third.

People say Southampton will slip up but we can't capitalise. We have played liverpool, Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and spurs and not won any of them games. It's a worry as we don't even do an arsenal and put the rest of the teams to the sword to make up for it

Thank christ. I didnt think so either! One thing I was baffled at though was the few occasions Coleman did seem be starting on one his runs, and instead of accelerating into space, he pulled up, and passed it inside. Couldnt get that. Maybe the Spurs fullback was a pacey lad and Seamus knew he wouldnt win the foot race perhaps.
