Did you hear how often they sang Yid army today mate ? I was sat in the Gladwys but couldn't really make it out. Need to find somebody who was sat closer to them.
**** fans
Don't agree. I live amongst them and they're mostly sound, for cockneys. Much better than the almost insufferable Gooners round my way.
HE'S A SPY.
I can't work out if most of these posts are tongue in cheek, Spurs a well known jewish supported team, saving up for christmas (a christian holiday) and before anybody starts, i'm not being anti Spurs, anti semitic or anti anything else.
Yid doesn't have the same connotations as the n word.
It is literally that Society Of Black Lawyers guy who has a problem with it, has brought it up in the media, and you're all lapping it up. Its all about context. Spurs fans only use it positively.
There was a piece on Radio 1 the other day asking people in the street both black and white if they thought use of the word was acceptable. The general response was either 'yeah if they're black' or 'no, the word is offensive regardless of who says it'.
Black people use the word to refer to themselves and each other in much the same way Jewish Spurs fans traditionally used the word Yid. The fact that the N-word is seen as 'more offensive' isn't really the issue.
Jews are offended by being called Yids, Black people are normally offended by being called the N-word. I don't think the hypocrisy is any different.
Oh no it ain't.
*sigh*
Who are you to say that? Many Jews are offended by the word "yid." The three I work with for a start. Shall I tell them that Nik says they need to get a grip and get over it?
