Is right yid4life. Some people just want people to be offended by everything. Clint planet is one of those people. When those people realise that no one actually gives a **** things will be easier for everyone.

I'm not offended by it. The real Jewish people I know find it distasteful, however. Even with the context made clear.

Simple as that.

So because you and the Spurs supporter aren't offended, that means no Jewish people are offended by it ? Right.

David Baddiel has dismissed claims that ethnic origin entitles Tottenham fans to call themselves the ‘Yid Army’ by insisting only ‘three or four per cent’ are Jewish.

‘The idea that Spurs fans are reclaiming the Y-word and are entitled to because so many of them are Jewish is simply not true,’ he said. ‘There are only 250,000 Jews in Britain as a whole and I’d say about three or four per cent of Tottenham’s crowd is Jewish.

As few as that really?

Don't know how many Jewish people you fellas know but I know plenty and the vast majority of them are not offended by the word when used in the context of 'Spurs supporter'. Admittedly there are a few (generally non-Spurs supporting) that don't like it.
Our chairman is jewish and has no problem with it.

Interestingly, almost ALL the Israeli Jews I have met over the years love the fact we have reclaimed the word and call ourselves The Yid Army.

Indeed there was a huge article in the Jerusalem Post in favour of it.
