Heard that Gibson was absolutely furious that he didn't play last night, he was probably rested as Barry can't play this weekend.
From some 'ITK' i'm guessing.

Keep it solid but not defensive. I wasn't impressed with Gibson against Fulham so I don't know, not sure if this is the game to put him in. If Barkley had a little more experience I'd like for him to have a go centre mid alongside McCarthy but not so sure on his defensive/positional nous and he has been excellent in the hole. It's a difficult one.
I think we might have to give Heitinga a go in def mid. If not, then Barkley & McCarthy CM with Osman in front. Mirallas & Pienaar either wing.

Good.
The day our players are happy to be dropped is the day they should koff.
Last season after being out for 3 months Gibbo came back and played 70 mins vs. Arsenal on the Wednesday and 90 mins vs. City in this same fixture on the Saturday. But this season we should go with Heitinga instead because we're not sure if Gibson's ready...
Not necessarily about fitness (though he clearly doesn't look after himself properly), just that he was sh*t against Fulham. Really poor. I wouldn't want him in that form at City away.
Difficult to get an objective answer in this case with a name like that tho ha.
Ok. Who was better in the first 70 vs. Fulham, McCarthy or Gibson? Watch the highlights on the site if you need a refresher. Gibbo is the pass before the assist for 4 or 5 of our best chances including the goal. He did pretty well for his first game back, especially since he had to contend with playing with Heitinga.
Oh yeah, Heitinga was so good in that game and has been in recent memory that you want to play him ahead of Gibbo as well! Clueless.
And talk of being objective. You might want to back up those accusations. 'clearly doesn't look after himself properly'. Proof please. Sounds like you're the one not being objective, just making up a load of crap to fit your position.
Depends on Mirallas fitness I think. If he is fit, then I would just swap Gibson for Barry and then it's as you were. If mirallas injured, could just bring pienaar in to keep same system otherwise he could risk 3 centre backs with stones coming in. Options to change it up for sure.
