cant understand the logic of bombing an already desperate regime , that may have used nerve gas on its people, what have they got to lose by saying well your bombing us, lets just carry on upping the stakes, are, goverment is walking into a minefield here. without ouside help the rebels arnt going to win, and if the do who exactlly are they? sorry but the only long term solution is to stay out of it and let the war take its course, if the present goverment wins, we have made an enemy ,if the rebels win we more than likely have as well, so why bother doing something were there is no outcome that is right for this country, and the libyian people lose either way, we act.

I'm at a crossroads with this.

We haven't tried to sit down Bashar al-Assad and the FSA for formal talks, we've just waited for WMD to be used and then thrown all our eggs in. I have quite a lot of family in the armed-forces and a lot of them have just recently been called back into Cyprus for "additional training" - I don't want to see another war.

But then again, al-Assad is a ****ing monster.

The rebels have refused talks. Assad was prepared to negotiate.

The rebels are monsters as well. Beheadings, killing kids the lot. And they're killing each other.
Plus they've already used chemical weapons themselves.

The whole situation is nuts.

But there's a much bigger picture here. The top and bottom is America want another one of their puppets in charge.
