I think, with out giving away 'sources' or breaching any kind of trust, Could some one please put what it going on with Landon into some sort of perspective and neatly into a little box for everyone , before the Chinese whispers begin and I have to reconsider my Donovan #9 Third-kit top :(

Just, What has / is about to transpire with regards to reputation in a British tabloid 'red-top' expose ? And how, if any communication with Landon ( or his people) have these actions, changed the possible outcome of him coming to us in January on loan ?

Basically, in a nutshell.."What's da fawkin Bobby Moore 'ere wid dat Yank lad, lad he cumiin' 'ere or wot,lad ?

Forget Bianca, his family always has his back. They know the truth and how the media works. If the British press invents a story that he had a cocaine-fueled orgy with three transvestite hookers, they will believe Landon over some newspaper trying to sell one more copy.

Sorry, but I don't buy this cloak and dagger stuff. If there's a scandal brewing, no one told Landon. He's not acting like a man whose world is about to get turned upside down by a scandal, or someone who has just seen his last chance in the EPL slip away because of the threat of some story. He isn't hunkered down with lawyers waiting for the other shoe to drop. He's over in Oz strutting around half naked and having a good time from the looks of it. He was in Vegas before that with his friends.

Oh and someone mentioned that Rooney and/or Cole were close to quitting football because of their scandals. WELL, they were partially or fully guilty of what they were being accused of, with legit and embarrassing evidence in abundance. But what you've said is that Donovan's Big Scandal has no truth to it whatsoever. I highly doubt he would allow the threat of a manufactured scandal deter him from playing if he really wanted to.

This thread has gone off the rails. I understand that there's a source involved BUT--is the source a little tipsy, hitting the bottle too hard? Methinks.

Lets just say from where I'm sitting the British Tabloids are scum. Law unto themselves and yes whilst some things are in the public interest - this is not one of them.

And frankly for reasons of the fact Landon's single. with no kids and is still in his 20's - what did anyone expect that he'd be single forever?


So please. If Landon's people are reading this. We DO understand.

And we understand that the Red Tops are snides here. Hence we hate them because frankly with economic crisises ... possible conflict with north korea terrorism...

do they really think people want to read about the private life of a young SINGLE man with no kids ?


I support Landon. because in these circumstances - how the hell's the guy to make any meaningful relationships with any women with this sort of thing happening?

its disgraceful really. The behaviour of this snide tabloid. Not Landon. He's just being a normal 20-something !

He's spent 2 years with Mr and Mrs Golden Balls . Do you think they NEVER mentioned the Briitish Tabloids , mate ???

He came , loved it, wanted to return . Tweeted as much. Thus , to get 2nd thoughts at THIS stage , tells you that this is SERIOUS week long , Cashley Cole , [Poor language removed] . As I say , Id've have me hands around HER fukn throat , me like, but Red Tops will be Red Tops TILL THE END OF TIME , lid .

As long as he did not pull a Chico and had some loving with a girl and her dog with a monkey and a salamander he has nothing to worry about. His is probably more famous in the UK than he is in the States. I will wait and see. Man this next month is going to suck!

hahaha..MORE than ok . :) I know the reputation our glorious Red Tops have through out this World. I'd skipped through the thread and thought I'd missed the 'actual story' that was he was being accused of. But, regardless of what the 'headline' is going to be, be it sexual or monatarial , then like LCAB and everyone else living in the U.K knows, it's gonna be 98% Bullsh*t and 2% correct, the correct part being poor Landon's name - which they are just trying to sully out of bitterness and laziness :(
 
I'm waiting for Landon to SAY he isn't coming here.

Until that happens, I think he's coming. Everything that's happened in the past, from Landon having an ace time of it here, to adapting to the game, to getting the love from the fans, to him reciprocating that love. All of that tells me it's still on. Whether it's a loan or permanent, who knows?

The rest is just noise.
