Hate how we sit down at away games, Sunderland away proved that standing up for the whole game makes it a better, if you're that desperate to sit down then buy a ticket front few rows. Only takes one of the sit down brigade to ruin it for everyone else. Also how can anyone be against a standing area at the back of GT4? Will it really effect people that much to have to move to GT3 or GT5 or any other area of the ground if they want to sit. No wonder Goodison was a library for 90% of last year, seen lots of our fans complain about it, but when a group of people are trying to do something about it they get shot down!

That's absurd logic.

Meant to have atmosphere at the end of that.

I know, and it's still nuts.

Standing up doesn't improve the atmosphere, it's simply human nature to stand up when something exciting is going on. Cause and effect.

Excitement = People stand up.
People who stand up for standing up's sake = bad meffs

Some of those songs listed shouldn't be kicking around anymore at all. I don't mind a wee silly or funny chant, but prefer to cheer on the good stuff, shout abuse at the bad stuff and just get behind the team in general.

I'm not saying what the lad's trying to do is bad at all, just not my thing personally.

With your age & experience, you should know.
Some of us remember when it was all standing in the Gwladys. The modern day fan has no idea what a real footy atmosphere is like.
So people who like to stand at the match are 'bad meffs' eh kid!?
Goodison is a very grim place, partly because of this ****ty attitude towards supporting your team.
Sit down now, lets not make a fuss eh, people might stare.

Have fun standing up when we're getting beaten by QPR at home next season lad. I'll be sat down, watching the same match, enjoying it just as much and cheering just as loud when we score a scrappy equaliser. I might even stand up, if there's actually something exciting going on.

I go the game to watch Everton, not join a Choir on their behalf, I will roar them on when they need it, but I don't need to stand up for 90 minutes to do so. It's also very difficult to be up and singing going mad, without anything exciting going on unless you're pissed, away games at the big clubs and Wembley are a different matter, I sometimes wonder if people go the game to support Everton or to jump up and down and act like complete teds.

Don't stand up just because were on the attack or get a corner because the poor kids won't be able to see.

People moan that standing up affects other supporters view, so why stand up when something exciting happens? Surely it makes your view worse!!

I say stand up...

Its not a Choir though, we shouldn't have to have an area were we sing but because Goodison is so quiet we have to and were trying something to bring a bit of atmosphere back. And why stand up at a big club and not a small club? Don't get it, oh its man city quick stand up there a big club!
