Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

We can only speculate when Moyes was asked to take over at United. Just like we can only speculate why Moyes was at the Brighton/Palace match last night.

Indeed we can.

But what is beyond speculation is that Moyes was approached by United whilst still under contract to Everton.

We know this for certain because even though to all intents and purposes he is United manager now, he is still seeing out his as yer unexpired contract at Everton.

So either he was approached illegally by United or Bill knew about it because any approach would have had to come with his blessing.

I know it has sod all squared to do with the price of spuds at this stage but, I am still curious to know whom is deceiving us here.

My money is om Bill, of course.

Bill Kenwright knew.

And at the next EGM he should be made to tell us when United asked him if they could speak to Moyes.

Of course, he will have to allow questions from the floor in order that that might happen

As to why Moyes was at Brighton last night I neither know nor care

Reporter on SSN has just said that Moyes gave no inkling two weeks ago that he was off to United, and was preparing Evertons Pre Season and training as usual.
Just a shot in the dark, here, but any suggestion that Moyes did not know about United two weeks ago is complete bollocks. We are being asked to believe that Fergie retired and the next day United rang Moyes to offer the job, to which Moyes replied 'Who? Me?'. 'OK then' Really? I mean...really?????

Sounds about right

It's incredible that they expect anyone to believe that arguably the biggest club in the world made the most important decision in its recent history on a whim.

I can't be doing with this "he's left the club in a good position" at the same time as it's being suggested he's taking, Baines, Felli, Jags with him........and when do we stop paying his £80,000 per week wages....

That line is strictly for the birds. He's known he was off ever since he decided to run his contract down. Let's have it right: he's denied Everton a chance at a compensation package from the world's richest club. Now that is his right as an employee not to re-sign and to further his own prospects, but it's one of the reasons why I and a few others on here weren't part of the dewy eyed Moyes love-in on Sunday when he left Everton.

He did us no favours with that manoeuvre and you can be pretty certain he wont hesitate to vacuum up our better players for United and take backroom staff.

Or not. Perhaps its not part of some shadowy secret undercover operation in order to save United a few quid and instead... Maybe they only asked Moyes the other day and he said yes, then told everyone what happened.
Its out there as a theory I know, but its possible.

Very unlikely.

Alternatively, we have been compensated behind closed doors, but will never fully know.

It could be monetary, which could go on loans or to shareholders, without any "Where's the United money Bill" type questions. Or, maybe, we end up getting Rooney or someone in a "coup" and at a bargain basement price.

Not happy to see Moyes having meetings with United as SSN reported his meeting with Ferguson and Giggs yesterday.

Our season isn't even over and he's already conducting Man Utd affairs, and planning to strip our already small squad with Jags joining the list of players he wants.

Disappointed with him.

Either way, Moyes was running his contract down in the hope that something better would turn up before he had to give in and sign a new deal at Everton. He still made sure the club would miss out on a few million in compensation.

Sadly I agree with this.

He didn't owe the club the right to earn themselves compensation from his departure.

If he'd have signed a contract, he'd have likely honoured it imo, I don't see how signing a long term deal knowing that he fancies moving on is what he 'should have done', as that's duplicitous.

Couldnt give 2 hoots if he's meeting them on his day off tbh. I'll be more concerned if and when he comes poaching our players especially the likes of Baines/Jags. Fellaini im resigned to losing to someone anyway.

If he hadn't, he may not of got the United job.
If he had stayed, he may of forced the owners hands, something he has been slated for not doing.
If he had stayed, not been given funds, he would be slated for signing, would be slated for not having his heart in it. Basically he is at the stage with some where if he gets out of bed on the left he's bang out of order, despite not even knowing which side he got out of.
