Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Very unlikely.

Pretty sure you were slating him for leading us on, knowing full well he was going to sign a contract because no one was coming in for him.

Much better when your making up theories about Bill, at least he deserves it.

He honoured his contract and then left left. NEA about all that me.

What bothers me is how it was handled. No point in going over old ground. We'll have a new fella in ourselves soon enough.

He didn't owe the club the right to earn themselves compensation from his departure.

If he'd have signed a contract, he'd have likely honoured it imo, I don't see how signing a long term deal knowing that he fancies moving on is what he 'should have done', as that's duplicitous.

You honestly think it's better that a club in Everton's financial position should miss out on compensation rather than suffer the heartache of seeing Moyes sign a new deal and then leave anyway?

I agree that Moyes doesn't owe Everton anything, but at the same time I keep reading/hearing people refer to him as some bastion of morality. I'm well and truly fed up of the love-in now and I'm looking forward to seeing the back of him. Also, I hope this is the end of Everton's cosy relationship with United.

Oh Moyes what a stupid thing to say regarding the 80s side! This team ant fit to lick the boots of that side. Once again ill say it, if Man Utd "got their man", we shouldn't be waiting to get ours. Just do it and stop dithering, we've shown u respect now show us some and sod off Davie. I'm sick an tiard of being told how lucky we were to have Moyes as manger. Ill say this slowly, THE. MAN. HAS. WON. NOTHING! Royle>Moyes anyday. Thanks for the memories Moyes but now do one an take Billy Liar with u!

Pretty sure that's what he was getting at young one.

I can't be doing with this "he's left the club in a good position" at the same time as it's being suggested he's taking, Baines, Felli, Jags with him........and when do we stop paying his £80,000 per week wages....

When did he get the 33% increase ?

If he hadn't, he may not of got the United job.
If he had stayed, he may of forced the owners hands, something he has been slated for not doing.
If he had stayed, not been given funds, he would be slated for signing, would be slated for not having his heart in it. Basically he is at the stage with some where if he gets out of bed on the left he's bang out of order, despite not even knowing which side he got out of.

I'm not having the idea that Manchester United chose their next manager based on contract status. They're quite rich and are known for planning ahead.

So he'd have been of greater moral standing if he'd have signed a deal he had no intention of seeing out?

As that's the salient point, Everton's financial standing isn't the issue. You're saying that he should have committed to a long term contract that he knew he'd be reneging on.

Well apparently he only knew about United's interest last week, so if he'd have signed a new contract at any point before that he'd have been doing so with every intention of staying.

Do you think Moyes would have rejected Manchester United if Aguero had fluffed his lines and Ferguson had called it quits last season? He'd have had a year left on his contract after all.

Of course they wouldn't, but if the conspiracies are correct, then United offered him the job, if the first thing he does is to slap them around the face by signing for Everton, they would probably look elsewhere.

To me its most likely that he didn't know United were about to offer him the job, I still believe he was applying pressure to the board, whilst also seeing what came up offers wise.. Turns out its the biggest job in English football and he took it.
Basically I believe its as the whole world is reporting it except on here, where without anything to back it up, he is being hung drawn and quartered for s**tting on a team he has put so much into, based on the conspiracy theories of a handful of anti moyes posters.

1) He didn't want to sign, as he was seeing what transpired at Goodison & what his options were elsewhere.

2) He'd have taken it I'm sure, but that's not the same as him signing a new deal, whilst being unsure about his intentions from day 1 - surely you can see the distinction there?

Anyway, this is all a bit 'Groundhog day' as far as I'm concerned, it's done & dusted.

To be honest, I think he was just waiting it out in the hope that a better offer would come along before he had to sign a new deal with Everton. It just so happened that the better offer was the best he could hope to get.

The applying pressure to the board argument doesn't make sense to me. He's been their biggest supporter and went along with their nonsense for years. I think he gave up on fighting them after signing his first really big contract in 2008. All just my opinion of course.

You're right, and the sooner we move on from this the better. I still don't think Moyes did right by leaving on a bosman though.

When I say Moyes doesn't care about Everton I don't mean it to come across as me expecting him to. Almost everyone in football is the same.
