Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Moyes have done a great job for our club with the next-no-nothing funding he have received to strengthen the squad. He has almost always been forced to fund purchases by selling players. For that he will always have my gratitude and respect.

However, IF he will be revealed as the new manager for ManU or IF he leaves in the summer or IF he signs for us again, I can't believe it is something he has decided now.. that decision he did a long time ago. And the decision to keep quiet about it and not giving a clear message to the club will have had an affect on the players, however minor. For that I will always resent him and dislike him since it MIGHT very well be the reason we have drew or lost some games we should have won.

This is silly, and it makes us look very bitter. If he does leave, and we don't even know he's leaving for sure yet, he's going to manage the biggest club in the world.

He's given 11 years to this club, he's frustrated the hell out of me at times but goddamn I can't think of anyone who in his circumstances would have done better. I don't think the fans 'owe' him anything, but a proper send-off is still the right thing to do.

If he's named before the end of the season, he can't manage the squad. Give him his sending off from the stands.

what a tit, moyes has brought us from constant relegation battles to challenging for european football,if he leaves,i wish him well he deserves it.i will send him off with well wishes

You are wrong, sir.

We weren't involved in "constant relegation battles".

Keep telling yourself and you might eventually delude yourself into believing it is true.

Exactly.

There is no reason he couldn't sit with Bill in the director's box and take a standing ovation.

But if Moyes is officually named as United boss by Sunday, he shouldn't be in the dug out.

Just curious, what are the rules for approaching a manager?

I assume United are required to go through the club before discussing terms with David Moyes as he's still under contract. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to just wait until the end of the season to sign him and avoid dealing with our board altogether?

Can't see any advantage to United naming him before the end of the season

Shareholders don't like uncertainty.

I would assume that some form of 'Bosman' ruling applies to Managers/Staff as well? Free to talk to whomever he wishes now.

But only an absolute whopper would go behind his clubs back and agree a deal with Utd without airing his thoughts to Kenwright first.

If he goes he should be no where near our ground. It would just show how far little old Everyon have fell.

He'll get his ovation when he comes back with United but he's forfeited that now taking a new job whilst under contract. There's no way I'll be cheering him, in fact I'll probably give both West Ham and Chelsea a miss. There's no way I'm sitting there like a small time fan who's wishing him well at a bigger club.

Agree completely. Moyes did a good job for us in the most part but giving him a big farewell and wishing him all the best at his new big job is a step too far.

If he was leaving for the Scotland job or even if he was off to a foreign team maybe but not to another team in our league.

moyes deserves a standing ovation for what hes done for this club with no one to help him,if people boo him,the people who boo him obviously have there own opinion but its wrong he has changed the club for the better, made bill kenwright richer even tho i hate that, but made everton a team to the world to be recognized for the good football they play

He did that pretty much every time he could.

Just for the record we finished 7th in his first full season. It's difficult for us to embrace the future considering we grew up in the 90s and know how bad things were before Moyes arrived. If you genuinely think we can do better under a new manager then you must be expecting a Mourinho type figure to take over.

He's not the only good manager in the world. Only reason we weren't fuming when he himself came in is because smith had bored us into submission...the world didnt start in 1992.

Too true Del..

Imagine what he will think when he see how that club runs !
Hope he says something about it instead of supporting the board all the way to the end. His parting gift should be the truth, but I bet he's on an NDA of some kind to keep him quiet. Plus he will be too respectful to 'the club' (opposite of the fans in the context I'm talking)

They have to - stock exchange rules. We're probably unable to say anything even it we want to

I thought even with Bosman the person in question had to be out of contract before agreeing terms. Moyes is still under contract
