Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

What are you on, Corkie?

Just off the top off my head, that season 96/97, we were pipped by Arsenal on the last day for UEFA Cup qualification.

the difference being fergie is retiring. if he was leaving to manage chelsea , would they want him for the last 2 games ? i think not.
if his heart is elsewhere , and by agreeing to join them means it is , then moyes should not take charge in the last 2 games imo.

Okay let's just say his heart hasn't been in the right place for last year, should we condemn him for that regardless of the previous 10 years were his heart was in the right place. All I'm saying is that it would be an act of mutual respect from Moyes and the fans. The fans for their continued support and Moyes for the decent job he's done the last 11 years.

If its confirmed tomorrow then absolutely not.

The one big things Moyes had done to us is install some pride back into the club during his reign. Lets not lose this pride by hanging around with him like a fat miserable ex for a final pity shag before he jibs us off for his newer fitter woman.

We are Everton for gods sake. We wont forget what he has done for us, nor should we, but as soon as he is confirmed as Man Utd manager its time to move on. Put someone in as caretaker for the last two games and get into them!

Nailed it.

Jesus wept. Fergie is retiring a Utd hero. Of course he'll get a farewell. By comparison Moyes is jibbing us for a rival. Yes I know they are a huge club but we beat them this season and will lock horns next season as well. There's no need to rub our noses in it with a collective outpuring of "he's off to better". [Poor language removed] that.

Jibbing us or not he's done a decent job here. I'm not a massive fan of Moyes or how he's left us in limbo this year, but we're in a much better position now that what we were in 2002 and much of that is down to him. Just a bit of respect as all.

We need to show some respect for the club more than anything.

We will honour him in the future. We will no doubt ask him to give us a wave when he comes to Goodison again.

But if its over its over.

He probably won't be in charge if he gets the job at United!! My only beef is that he has let his contract run down. We get no compo, and we'll probably have to pay compo for our next manager. Not good business for a club short on spare cash!

Amen. IMO he's tore us a new hoop with the way he's strung us all along. He's done things that he didn't like players doing to him and the club. He's done so much for our club but i cant help but think he's shafted us here.

I wanted to write that, spot on.

Sounds like the club are now briefing friendly journos like Andy Hunter against Moyes that he has been underhand.

I'd see it as unlikely if he led the team from this moment on.

DM in talks with BK for 2 hours this pm SSN - it will be announced who the new manager is at Man U in the next 24 hours!

Wonder how that went...."Bill UTD have offered me the job.......shed loads of money and a world class squad."

"But David, I have been talking to wonga tonight .....david why the sour face"

WHAT ??

Should SAF be in charge of Utd for the last 2 games of the season as his mind is clearly elsewhere ?

11 years and Moyes doesn't get the chance to say farewell, even though we've almost nothing to play for ?

Unbelievable.
