Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

And he is being paid until the end of his contract which includes the next 2 games. To suggest that he doesn't manage us for another 10 days because he has another job lined up is beyond churlish.

Its really not. Its a massive distraction that we dont need to be having. Its not a dig at him or anything. He wants to move on, he has made that clear, thats fine. We need to move on too.

why not? he's done a great job, we have nothing else to play for, deserves a good applause for how he saved our club. I know he's been far from a saint to us over the last couple of years, but he'll still get the respect he deserves.

He will always have the respect. Always. We have our future to play for. Our future doesnt involve him and starts tomorrow (assuming hes confirmed).

Horsesh*t. Massive distraction ? PSML at that.

This.

As per usual one of a handful of logical posters on here (don't include myself in that by the way) points out the stupidity in this

Almost as amusing as the number of posts blaming his lack of focus for a slump that included wins and draws against teams like City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs... also hilarious.

Except it isn't "stupidity".

You and the rest of the apologists conveniently leave out the six game run from the middle of January until the end of February when we lifted six points from home games with Swansea, WBA and Villa plus two away games at Southampton and Norwich which was what broke our CL charge and which, for the record, coincided with the "contract talks" starting to dominate the football cllub.

And I think it is fairly certain that we were mislead by Moyes when he kept intimating that the talks were being kept on ice until he saw how Everton fared in the European qualification battle and what transfer kitty he would have available in the summer.

And a heck of a lot of blokes on this very forum were telling us, "don't worry.....Davey is putting pressure on the board to give him more funds".

It's hard to believe that even the most blinkered Moyes acolyte believes that version of events now.

Moyes has obviously being in conversation with United and Everton Football Club, gentlemen, have been royally screwed by the man so many believe we cannot do without.

Still, for all that I can't blame Moyes for looking after No.1 .

He is not an Everonian, like we all are.

He is s professional "football man"......a "mercenary" if you will.

I blame Bill Kenwright......he is an Evertonian yet he allowed this situation to transpire and unfold.

"Take your time, Dave....make your mind up......sign if and when it suits you".

I am not saying Bill had any prior knowledge of the United move and Ferguson's retirement, but he behaved very naively when the contract issue first arose in January.

Bill has made our club look small time.

Me?

I am as happy as can be.

I feel there is a monkey off Everton's back and I look forward to the arrival of the new manager.

Onwards and upwards.

i can see why people wouldn't want him there. I've been a bit against him leading us whilst he's exploring other options. Just don't see how having stubbsy and sheedy for the last two games would help. Unless they're in the running for the job of course. When we get a new boss, they may not be our staff anymore and that would be totally pointless. Don't see what they and we can gain from it tbh. If we had something to play for, my view may be different tbh.

What slump though? We've won 10, drawn 6 and lost 4 since January compared to won 9, drawn 9 and lost 4 before January.

We've done better since than we did before. 1.8 point a game rather than 1.6 points.

Haha. The numbers man has just owned this thread
