Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

How much exactly do you think 2 weeks of contract would be to us? Or do you think he should of signed his contract so Manchester United would give us money... or of course more likely gone elsewhere for their replacement?

It the Principal of the thing isn't it?

Everybody knows Moyes has done a great job, stabilizing the club in times of difficulty.

He's made mistakes and won little battles, but the majority would have liked to see that trophy, that justification of all that hard work. It hasn't happened, and it's not the end of the World, we'll still be here next year.

But Moyes won't be.

It's common sense to now close ranks, move aside Moyes with a hearty handshake, pats on the back all round and onto 'Gardening Leave' as they are calling it.

People making the point referring it to any normal employment aren't seeing the big picture. And no disrespect to you, Sir, but it doesn't make any sense.

Okay so all the players Moyes has been looking at, this year in particular, are they still our targets?

Will the players that are still here be in a new Managers plans?

A new Manager will come in and now build on what Moyes has done this year in that regard? No, of course he won't. Because now rather than complimenting the great players we have, they'll most likely go with Moyes, as will the back room staff.

My point in this fiasco is that the sooner we start planning for the future the sooner we start planning for the Future.

No wonder we're always being played by our supposed 'Rivals'.

And that's how we should look at them. Rivals. Not Superiors.

There's a few people in here seem to have no idea.

Hullefc, electricblue, mawders, ihaters...even ToffeeDan

You're not getting it. We're Everton. Not David Moyes FC.

Its weird I think the same about you.
We are Everton!!!! and we have class. We don't turn our back on our own. If Moyes is our manager for 2 more weeks then I will support him for 2 more weeks.
People started saying they wanted him instantly gone, then a round of applause when he returns as a United manager... WHAT??? WE ARE EVERTON.. not some little club that applauds rival managers.
Support the manager until he is gone, not after he leaves.. he hasn't, not till the summer and that's when I stop supporting him. Until then all the conspiracies and insults in the world won't stop me supporting the manager, the team and the club.
I am sad you think that turning your back on him and stopping him finishing the job is more dignified than showing your appreciation for the final 2 weeks before he becomes the enemy.
I am sorry we don't agree, but for me, its you that doesn't get it. Everton to me are better than that and we will see how good we are as fans on Sunday when he gets his Goodison farewell.

I asked you to stop telling your fellow supporters condescendingly that they have 'no idea' , and you respond with that.

Yeah right. I've been supporting Everton since 1968 and you tell me that I have 'no idea' and that my attitude is responsible for us becoming a 'feeder club'.

[Poor language removed] off you patronising ****.

If this is what our 'support' has become I'm outta here.

Then you'll remember what we stand for, if you've been supporting the Club for this long.

Ferguson has the right to see out his Club to the end, because he Won it!

Moyes does not have the right. He's not won anything.

We will pay the utmost respect to Moyes, but he's a High Profile football Manager who must encompass everything about the Club. But where will that get us over the next six weeks?

So his contract will run for until July 1 or something? So are we looking for a replacement now or from July 1? And how long will that take? And in the mean-time, how can any of the moves Moyes has planned come about now?

And when he takes our two best players with him? What then? It's typical, we'll be behind from the start yet again.

Man United have their next Manager already thinking about what his new team will be like, who to keep, who to move on. It's only Ferguson made them what they are. We should be looking out for Number One, not some highly paid Caretaker.

It's a joke and should be the straw that breaks Kenwrights back.
this from a lad from other side of the world , superb post mcbain, ye spot on lad

What has literally any of that go to do with our manager managing our team for the next 2 weeks?

Okay, solidarity and all that.

But he's off to United, and it's not a player, it's the Boss. The decision making Boss of the Club.

Who's best interests is he now serving?

It's very noble of him to continue, but he is going to get destroyed if the team doesn't show up Sunday.

I don't know why he'd put himself through that really.

Nothing mate. But unfortunately some of our supporters like to think themselves as better than other supporters. And that they are the ones that uphold the standards of the club and anyone that disagrees with them 'has no idea'.

It's f**king pathetic.

yes,he should be in charge for last two games imo. He is a manager/person motivated not by money but by success. He has tried his dam-nest to try and make us into a top premier league club, and give us a vision for the future im sure he will give more than 100% in the last two games. I do appreciate what he has tried to do. Please prove me right Dave, I wish you good luck in the future.

I don't want to fight with fellow Blues, but this is, once again, not how it should have been handled.

It's not about us being Moyes FC, it's about us paying our respects to a fella who's done a decent job. And equivalently it's about Moyes paying his dues to the fans, because we are Everton FC and Moyes wouldn't have got this far without the continued support from Evertonians.

I understand people not wanting Moyes in the dugout on principle. In fact, I personally don't buy that this came as a shock to Moyes, and he's probably had an idea that Fergie was retiring for while IMO and has strung us along a bit. However, he's done a good job helping this club get part way back to where it once was, so for that he should be able to be in the dugout for the next 2 games IMO.

No song and dance, let him have his final Goodison lap of honour, mutual clapping and when it's over we return to seeking out the right man to manage us next season.

In my opinion he should step aside for the last two games.... he's Man uniteds manager now....as much as I respect him and applaud all the wonderful work he's done here as soon as the news broke he needed to step aside... can anybody tell me that he is 100% focussed on Everton at the moment ??? no fookin way... I don't honestly wanna diss the fella but as soon as he made that choice he stopped being our manager and became theirs... and I wish him all the luck in the world...but leave us alone now please.

Oh come on matey.

No need for swears.

I don't know why he'd put himself through that really.

Because that's Moyes. He wants to finish what he started, he doesn't want to play 40 odd games this season then leave us when there are two more to be won, he wants us to get the 6 points required to finish as high as possible including above the sh**e.
Do you really think he won't work his a**e off like always to try to win these points? He's serving Everton's best interests, and will do so until he leaves in two weeks time, then we go our separate ways and we think of Everton, he thinks of United. I am sure we'll be interested in how United do, I am sure he will be the same with Everton but only as an interest.
Until then us, Everton, the players and Moyes are still one unit.. well should be anyway.

I wish people would stop saying he's United's manager now though. He isn't. Not yet.
