Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

You are wrong, sir.

We weren't involved in "constant relegation battles".

Keep telling yourself and you might eventually delude yourself into believing it is true.

Just checked and you're right.

1993 - 4 points clear of relegation (13th)
1994 - 2 points clear of relegation (17th)
1995 - 5 points clear of relegation (15th)
1996 - 23 points clear of relegation (6th)
1997 - 2 points clear of relegation (15th)
1998 - 0 points clear of relegation but our GD was outstanding (17th)
1999 - 7 points clear of relegation (14th)
2000 - 17 points clear of relegation (13th)
2001 - 8 points clear of relegation (16th)

Personally I was never worried.

He's agreed to move... He should not be at the Helm for the last couple of games.

Is that just me? Isn't that how it works?

As soon as you agree to go your outta there. Aren't you?

Has it changed?

I remember life before Moyes and he done us good, but now he's off.

He should resign immediately shouldn't he?

Have I missed something?

Good man.

You stick with me, pal.

And sod the revisionists

I actually despise him now that its been announced. To have the cheek to criticise Lescott for the manner in which he left, hes actually scraped Everton off his shoe on the way into Old Trafford

He doesn't have to stay for the last two matches but he's chosen to do his job. It's usual and expected that people work out
a period of notice, whether they've resigned or been sacked and that's what he's doing. I'm sure the players are professional enough to go out an do their job.

It's been common knowledge for some time that Moyes was the manager in waiting for the MU job. The fact that most didn't believe it doesn't alter the fact.

Don't those who think he should step aside now think he should have done so when he'd decided to take the job? That is
probably weeks, even months ago and if there's been any perceived conflict of interest it would have been the case then.

Let's show some dignity and not be petty about this. He's served the club well and we should quietly let it play out, then
move on.

Its football Jeff, not any normal profession.

A Chairman with a Sack would have said okay, time to move over Davey Lad.

We'll take it from here.

Football probably can't be compared exactly with other jobs, I agree, but you can be sure that he would have drawn a lot of
criticism if he had cleared his desk and just walked out. A case of damned if you do, damned if you don't.

My concern is that we don't drag Everton's name through the mud by acting with an angry and undignified display
of mob mentality.

The eyes of the football world will be on Goodison Park on Sunday, so let's show some class, in fact let's show a lot of class.

It's not widely evident in the world of football, so here's an opportunity to show that we do things differently.

Spot on, Moyes had been a gentlemen throughout his 11 years, lets not lose our class now Moyes had left, he gone a great job for us.

Ffs you'd think nobody on GOT has ever sorted out a job somewhere else and resigned from their current firm.

You work your notice period, you finish off whatever tasks are agreed need to be finished, you have your little leaving party where everyone wishes you all the best and buys you a farewell prezzie and card, and off you go to pastures new with your higher ranking job and bigger salary, hoping you have made the right choice.

In very contentious circumstances or situations involving sensitive information, it might be agreed you take "gardening leave".

Moyes has given us 11 years of stability. We have mainly been stressing about qualifying for Europe rather than relegation. Marching him out of the door now with a "Koff Moyes" final word is surely below this great club and below its great fans. At the final home game we should give him the polite and supportive round of applause he deserves - no booing, no Judas shouts, no sad anti-Moyes banners, no bitterness, just class and dignity. All the bitter stuff will just make us look small and small minded.

The fact that Man u can announce your manager is taking over when everton has 2 important games left of the season makes you small time imo. Yes we all know his contract expires and he can talk to whoever he wants. But your chairman should have told him you have 6 weeks left on your contract. end the season well and then do what you want. But we have 2 games that can decide our chances of qualifying for Europa League next season. But Man U know their season is over and they have nothing to play for, so for them its more important to end the speculation and calm their fans down that any effect it would have of Everton. Why this had to be announced now instead of 2 weeks time? Now if you lose coming 2 games and Liverpool win their 2 games and finish ahead of you. then your chairman and manager has let you down. there's a way to leave a club and for me he left in a poor way

Just read what Charlton says about Moyes :

"I have always said that we wanted the next manager to be a genuine Manchester United man," said Charlton.

"In David Moyes, we have someone who understands the things that make this such a special club.

And you still want him to manage our great football club for two more games. Get two legends in for them Dunc and Sheeds.

who cares what Charlton got to say, he gave us 11 years and ive enjoyed them, it will be petty, classless if we sack him now. we're better then this.
