Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

Ffs you'd think nobody on GOT has ever sorted out a job somewhere else and resigned from their current firm.

You work your notice period, you finish off whatever tasks are agreed need to be finished, you have your little leaving party where everyone wishes you all the best and buys you a farewell prezzie and card, and off you go to pastures new with your higher ranking job and bigger salary, hoping you have made the right choice.

In very contentious circumstances or situations involving sensitive information, it might be agreed you take "gardening leave".

Moyes has given us 11 years of stability. We have mainly been stressing about qualifying for Europe rather than relegation. Marching him out of the door now with a "Koff Moyes" final word is surely below this great club and below its great fans. At the final home game we should give him the polite and supportive round of applause he deserves - no booing, no Judas shouts, no sad anti-Moyes banners, no bitterness, just class and dignity. All the bitter stuff will just make us look small and small minded.

And when on your notice you switch off. You start to download anything you think of benefit onto a memory stick, any projects, information that might come in handy, packing your stuff into boxes ready to take off.
As much as anyone says 'professional' it won't be, it can't be, things are different now. Had he not left such a 'committed' note on the man utd website he may have got away with it.

That 2 other places announced the official news ahead of EFC shows how little respect there is towards EFC, we're there to be picked off and treated like children, such is our standing in a business sense.

By all means Moyes can, and to a lot should, be there on Sunday, but not by any means should he be allowed to take charge, lead or represent Everton FC, he has chosen to go. Let hi sit in the stands with his beloved Bill and take an applause, together, but let Irvine, Round or Ferguson lead the team, show that somewhere amongst the patronising and condescending we've been put through this last week, that deep down there is a bit of self respect and dignity left at this great club.

It amsuses me that this is still being discussed.

Whether he should or shouldn't doesn't really matter. It's two games, and the fact is that he is.

He shouldn't be like.

who cares what Charlton got to say, he gave us 11 years and ive enjoyed them, it will be petty, classless if we sack him now. we're better then this.

We are classless if we sack him , but he can agree to join another club before our season has ended. it goes both ways the class thing.

If you are going sunday. you enjoy your goodbye's. I will not boo but i will not be giving him a fond farewell either.

I'm really struggling that we're not all thinking this TBH. Really struggling. Why haven't people got any pride in our club anymore.

I am not sure the players will play for Moyes now, other than go through the motions.
I could be wrong of course. We could easily lose the last 2 games through apathy.

The players need the correct motivation to see these last games out and so I would edge towards Duncan, but think most likely Round. We will all know shortly...

The fact that Man u can announce your manager is taking over when everton has 2 important games left of the season makes you small time imo. Yes we all know his contract expires and he can talk to whoever he wants. But your chairman should have told him you have 6 weeks left on your contract. end the season well and then do what you want. But we have 2 games that can decide our chances of qualifying for Europa League next season. But Man U know their season is over and they have nothing to play for, so for them its more important to end the speculation and calm their fans down that any effect it would have of Everton. Why this had to be announced now instead of 2 weeks time? Now if you lose coming 2 games and Liverpool win their 2 games and finish ahead of you. then your chairman and manager has let you down. there's a way to leave a club and for me he left in a poor way

Exacto

I'm furious with the timing of the announcement. Will Moyes still be as focussed for the remaining two games?

I will add something though.

The West Ham game in particular I still want to win (just to give Liverpool literally no chance), and I feel we have more chance of winning with Moyes there than without and having Stubbs or effing Round take the team!

I do understand all the reasons against it though of course.

I can understand the frustrations and anger.

But this part annoys me: "He's put a statement on their website" etc etc.

What do you expect him to do? Say nah we'll talk about united when i'm done here, the fans at united are already divided about him, he has to get them onside and of course do an interview. Some of you lot live in a dream world.

You hand in your notice.. And then " GO SICK ! "
And if you have any holiday left you could take that.

You don't show up in your new suit, fancy watch, new car with an MU BO55 number plate, and just rub everyone's nose in it..
I bet he even dyes his hair black..
