Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

You have to let go at some time lads.

He's going to a competitor, and in any other job if that was the case you can imagine most companies would have the resignation take effect immediately.

Holding on for another couple of weeks is wrong in my opinion, it doesn't show disrespect to want him leave straight away, it's purely about business.

I wish him well but I don't want anything to unsettle our club, he's not bigger than Everton.

Keep changing my mind.

Hate the fact that the newly appointed Manchester United manager will be in the dugout. We'll never live that down.. Songs will be sung and banners will be made by the other shower for years to come.

But I want to say goodbye to the man who single handedly gave us our pride back after years of utter ****e under Kendall/Walker and Smith.

Didn't feel as **** as this even after my wife gave me a dose.

Mate I agree with most of what you say but using the world ****e and Kendall's name in the same sentence is just wrong. Just wrong.

I'm as old as the mud at the rivers bed mate and well remember some dire rubbish during his last time with us but we are talking about an Everton giant. A hero. he does not get bracketed with common or garden failures.

My prediction is there won't be one song about it, nor will there be any banners.

I can no longer stand the plucky underdog mentality we have now had to endure. We are Everton and prior to the arrival of SAF had more league titles than them, so thanks for you efforts davey but now youve decided to move on do us a favour and feck off!! Don't insult my club by expecting us to play the grateful audience and gladly cheer you on as you move to a better club! You are not moving to a better club but a wealthier one, you are another drone numbed with the belief that money = better club, if you knew your history you would realise that. You have decided or rather been told that you are moving with two games of the season left because the New York stock exchange didn't like the idea of a mangerless Utd so afford us the respect we have afforded you, we are not fulham, stoke, qpr, swansea and countless other sides who drift in and out of the top flight making little impact, we are Everton Football Club, a football institution and a successful one at that, we may have had to endure the longest barren spell in our history but our ambition should never deminish, however if we afford Moyes the farewell parade that looks likely we may never recover from our acceptance of second best! Nil Satis Nisi Optimum

I'd rather have had the chance to applaud this man.

Howard gave me memories that even a severe bout of alzheimer's couldn't take away. The great man even has his ugly mug above my fireplace

But the fact is, he came within a rats whisker of taking us down, so make no apologies for branding that particular era as, utter ****e

Could something be done in a dignified way just to register to Moyes AND the Board how poorly this Moyes to United issue has been handled?

It is just not on to have him stay as manager til the end of the season.

I want to make clear I think Moyes has done a good job for us overall (though I think he outstayed his time by a year at least). He brought stability and professionalism to the club when it was needed.

But to have our manager in our dugout at the weekend when he's committed to United and writing poems for their website saying what a dream job it is just stinks. It is an insult to the history of the great club.

If he'd have just gone respectfully and quickly that'd be it.

He did a good job but trousered about £30 million in wages
He was clearly up to it all along with Alex Ferguson.
He let his contract run down so denying us compensation

It would need to come from an organised supporters group but can any protest be done to stop the West Ham game making us look like a joke?

I was nearly coming round to your way of thinking about the victims song, but that is just pathetic mate. No offence like.

Drop it now. In 10 days time he will be 'former Everton manager David Moyes.'

Protests ffs.

Congratulations to Moyes, he's got what he wants; the biggest job in club football. Wish him all the best and thank him for building a great squad here HOWEVER:

All this fairy tale bull**** and acting in a manner of showing too much gratitude and too much respect is nonsense. We are NOT Bolton, we are NOT Leicester City, we are not one of those small time teams who think we've hit the jackpot the last 11 years and Moyes is the messiah. Listen up, we are Everton Football Club we have won league titles, FA Cups, The ECWC, been amongst the top all our lives. FFS, we are acting like we are Uniteds reserves, their minors, bum boys. United are no better than us, we owe them nothing and as far as I'm concerned Everton is the biggest and best job in football, we are the best fans and we play beautiful football. It's like we are all masturbating over the fact Moyes is going to United and "oh look, Everton are getting publicity" yea, publicity that shows us as a small club.

Love it, pal.

Good luck Davey but 'koff already, it's embarrassing
Give the last two games to Sheedy, that'd be a nice touch

Agree with most of this apart from where you think we play beautiful football. Rarely. Unfortunatly thanks to the mismanagement of the club we have not got a pot to piss in and intodays game that means we are a small club to most other than EFC fans
