I've not read the entire. Why should we have kept Rooney? He stank the place out last season. He was awful. Earned 150k and gave us nothing. He goes to mls retirement home and scores a few and now we should have kept him. Let's remember this is a league where Bradley Wright-phillips is considered a legend. Where would Rooney operate in this team? In place of Sigurdsson? No thanks. Up front? He can't run anymore he hasn't got the legs. He will always be remembered a red who came back when they didn't want him. A bit like when a bird leaves you and then after 10 years she loses her looks and her body isn't what it was and gets dumped so she comes running back to you as she thinks she is still good enough for you. I didn't want him to come back and I was gutted to be proved right. If it wasn't for his penalties last season his goal really would have been abysmal.

Have you got any pictures of this bird mate?

Couldn't make you out, whether you knew the game or that you were a Plantpot. Then you opened your mouth and removed all doubt. Wayne Rooneys
goal against West Ham (Englands best goalie Joe Hart) left stranded by a shot that came to Rooney bending, in less than a second he hit his shot
with bend, lift and power, it was a marvellous goal, probably the greatest goal ever to be scored on Enlgish soil.

On one side we have its a Fluke. On one side its probably the greatest goal ever score on English Soil.
No shades of grey here

Nah.
I enjoyed Rooney last year, by and large. And whilst I do see the point regarding him being a ST option, I think the reality is that we have gone in a new direction where pace is almost essential.

Look at that front 4 that started vs Palace. They actually didn't have a great game but it's just a fantastic blend of speed, craft and aggression.

Rooney wouldn't have been happy on the bench.

As I say though, he was very decent last year.
