He was genuinely toxic at the club, his wages unsettled other players, he kicked off when he didn’t play and he made out he was bigger than the club as a whole, without showing the talent to back any of that up. United jettisoned him for a reason remember.

The reality with Rooney was that he couldn’t play consistently as a Premier League level striker, number 10 or number 8, was sloppy in possession in a team that couldn’t afford to be and scored just 2 more goals in all competitions than Oumar Niasse did. He then proceeded to go half the season without scoring. Not to mention bringing the club into disrepute with his Jeremy Kyle level antics after a beer.

The blue tinted glasses and misplaced sense of loyalty to “blues” is everything that is wrong with the club and fan base in general and a fluke 50 yard goal against West Ham isn’t going to change the fact that he was a ludicrous signing for us.
Couldn't make you out, whether you knew the game or that you were a Plantpot. Then you opened your mouth and removed all doubt. Wayne Rooneys
goal against West Ham (Englands best goalie Joe Hart) left stranded by a shot that came to Rooney bending, in less than a second he hit his shot
with bend, lift and power, it was a marvellous goal, probably the greatest goal ever to be scored on Enlgish soil.

Fluke 50yard goal,

Why would we? Donovan wasnt a crap has-been when we loaned him, he was a star player. Rooney’s got nothing but a trollish body and fake hair to offer.

Rooney standing out more than Donovan did ; in a better quality mls.

Loved landon but just saying.

Rooney was also our top scorer last season.

Still better than dcl, niasse, Davies, schneid3lin, dowell and more.

The knob jockeys on the Jim White show, talking him up to return to either Everton or Utd in January, when the MLS finishes in Dec.

All based on the fact that he`s tearing up the MLS.

No thanks.
