In fairness Alan, Celtic supporters don't sing many songs that are deemed sectarian.
I accept songs about the armed struggle in Ireland will probably offend residents of the country that still occupies a part of Ireland to this day, but there aren't many sectarian ditties belted out at Celtic Park.
It never ceases to amaze me how Aberdeen fans sing about the decades old abuse of children at Celtic Boys Club, and have sung about the Ibrox Disaster in the past, yet ignore that and try take the moral high ground over songs about Irish republicanism.
One could conclude there's a hint of, dare I say it, irony?

It's not the talk about the old firm that is the issue, it's the whataboutery about their fans that is really monotonous. If the thread could stick to actual football, I would probably take a few people off ignore.

It’s a Scottish football thread so any chance we can talk about Scottish football and not constantly about the supporters of the OF. If you want to do that start a thread called OF supporters thread.

Yep. I actually enjoy my own niche of Scottish football, but it’s not interesting enough for the majority, I also like the information on non Old Firm clubs. I have little interest in the Old Firm , and find the same posters posting the same thing repetitive and boring so I scoot through the posts, but clearly the Old Firm generate more interest than even the National team. A separate “ Old Firm “ thread would work for me and give posters unfettered access to voice their views , carry on their arguments etc.
