August 30th 2021: Heart of Midlothian FC become the biggest fan-owned club in the UK.

10,000 regular subscribers (8,000 core) raising over £11M so far (£1.4M per year). Money now extra revenue into club.

Decent effort ??
Hearts are without a doubt the best club in Edinburgh. There's just something about that maroon shirt. Hearts are Scottish footballing royalty. Of course Alex Young played for them as well. As the song goes the Hearts are having a party, and the Hibs are in their beds.? But anyway early days yet, but Rangers are looking good for the two in a row.?

I mean thank god you’re hear to point out the failings of every other clubs supporters, hopefully you’ll never get lovely in your ivory tower .

The good news is the back and forth and constant your fans are bad ours are great from both sides in no way constantly derails the thread .

In fairness Harold, I was pointing out some of the the Hearts supporters failings in rely to a post that criticised the Celtic, and Hibs supporters.

I can only assume you missed that one. :coffee:

Firstly, let me say that I condemn all forms of bigotry, racism, homophobia; including that from Hearts supporters. Unfortunately the Celtic fixture brings out the worst in an element of our support.

But my point relating to Celtic supporters is valid. The hatred and paranoia from them is so deep-rooted that it doesn’t really matter what I or anyone else say. Their image of Hearts fans will always be “Huns without the bus fare”. The vast majority of Hearts fans are actually very decent people who have no interest in sectarian songs of viewpoints. But that doesn’t fit the Celtic narrative. What you describe above is a loud and visible minority.

Sadly, for as long as Celtic bring their full IRA/Republican songbook to Tynecastle it will continue to bait the worst elements of our support. There are no winners here. I’m not sure it can ever be fixed.

I would suggest the tiny minority of Hearts fans who do belt out sectarian songs should take up opera singing, because they're loud as Fleck whenever they play against Celtic. ?

I can only hope it gets better with each generation, but as we had a march escorted by our police through Glasgow city centre on Sunday belting out anti-Irish songs, and the OO have been allowed to have 34 ( that's THIRTY FOUR) marches in one day soon I think it will be a very long time before there's a dramatic improvement. These things come from the home, and are passed down through each generation as some kind of rite of passage.

Hearts do have a nice strip, I'll give you that, but Hibs kit is one of the best in world football. It's superb. Dare I say it, its even better than the beautiful green and white hoops? ?

Prodies?.....I'm jesting.
They've a lovely ground.
The lads will enjoy playing there.
A good glasga type crowd shouting sheep abuse for 90 minutes, all good fun.
Petershill play in maroon and white. Seemingly back at the beginning they couldn’t decide what colours to play in and one of the members/club secretary was a big Hearts fan so he suggested Hearts colours and it’s stuck all this time.
When it was their centenary year they asked Hearts to play them and help celebrate and of course they did.
Steve Fulton and the likes.
