Seems like another season same old result. Rangers couldn't even name their team until late on due to Covid stuff and availability.

Joe Hart in goal says everything you need to know about the state Celtic are in atm. Three points the difference between the teams that will end up first and second at the end of the season, but right now there just seems to be an inevitability about who will actually be first and second.

Long way to go, but Rangers showed the challengers today that even a weakened team has that desire needed to win the crucial games. After a slow and unconvincing start to the season they are now hopefully going to move back into top gear after the international break and dominate again.

There was literally nothing between those two teams today; rangers won because they had a full house with no opposing fans allowed in and that got them over the line. If it was played at Parkhead the result would have been reversed.

Any team that calls on an utter shire horse like Lundstram off the bench is not in good shape.

Doesn't say much for Celtic mind you, that we had 6 players out through covid and two players playing with injuries and then bring on Lundstrum into the bargain and we still beat them!?.

A main tactic of TRIFC is to try and win free kicks so they can get crosses into the opposition penalty box. Morelos and Roofe, threw themselves to the ground every chance they got and, as usual, were helped out by the ref.

The tactic didn't work as well as usual, as they didn't have Tavernier who can whip in a good cross, and Barisic, who is also a good crosser of the ball, had a bit of an off day. It did work for their goal though as Morelos, once again, threw himself to the deck and got another free kick which eventually led to the newco getting a corner. Barisic whipped in an excellent cross from the corner, and it was attacked well by Helander.

I was disappointed by the lack of opportunities Celtic created. It was an excellent result for the newco, bearing in mind they had some players out.
