Scottish football

I think you are missing the point a bit. People are more than happy to talk about the old firm in a football sense. It's when the chat is just endless arguments about "your supporters are worse than our supporters, my club isn't sectarian, yours is etc etc" that people get very bored very quickly.

If we could just stick to talking about football, it will be a much better thread
Oh right. If we could stop people complaining about rival fans having a pop at each other on a thread about football and stick to the footy as well that would be great.......

It isn't.

Imagine thinking you're that important that you ask for the Old Firm not to be discussed on a thread about Scottish football because you're too precious not to read a few posts that you don't want too. Get a grip. "Ooh he made a joke about the other ones, I'm putting him on ignore and gonna write a cry arse post about it all"

That said, there is more to Scottish football than Rangers and Celtic. Not much like but still.
Hibernian were the original irish immigrant club in Scotland i believe. Although Hibs don't play up on that, to the extent Celtic do. Didn't Celtic basically poach all of Hibs players, back in their early days as a club?

People have been talking about an Old Firm thread. Glad you laughed mate.

Oh and without the Old Firm Scottish Football would die a death and end up like the Welsh league in no time.
Not 100% sure .
I don't just go the fitba just when the OF are in town
Be a more even balanced playing field.
Non big two clubs fans are all for it.
It won't happen, the big two, although massive support have dropped performance wise as CL games have proved.

The TV, advertising money etc would massively decline. As a result the standard of football will because the players won't want to go there. Eventually many fans will adopt an english/old firm team and start supporting them more than their Scottish side. It's not arrogance, it's just a fact. Might be good for 5 maybe 10 years but eventually it will be on par with the Welsh/Irish leagues.

Don't believe I'm agreeing with you again!
Stop all this and go back to being a prat!

Glasgow is wonderful city albeit a goldfish bowl and the better players wouldn't necessarily walk up the m74 to sign for the OF.
Vociferous support won't push yiu up the leagues.
The PL is killing the SPL with lots of fans adopting English teams ,and spending money going to watch them.
Sponsorship is already bad for non OF teams.
Aberdeen Hibs and Hearts have got great support remember.

None of their supports combined come close to either of the Old Firms. Do you think tv money would stay the same if the Old Firm left?
