I didn't say that. I was asking for genuine opinions on who we could get, so it's pathetic to just write my opinion off. Of course i've heard of the likes of Tuchel but would you prefer I lied and said I knew in depth about them when I don't pay barely any attention to Dortmund etc?

Of course there will be better managers out there than Allardyce but I was making the point that often people say there are better but don't actually give credible candidates. I don't think Silva for example has proven himself to be an adequate replacement given his managerial performance in the last couple of years.

Outside of a handful of managers who are already at top clubs in top leagues mate we could pretty much attract anyone outside of that 'elite' group to the club given the salary and amount of funds we have been backing managers with.

In answer to your question from the other day btw, they are all progressive - modern managers with distinct styles of play suited to the game nowadays, all are on the young side and all will come in ambitious - not like Koeman or BFS who seemed to not have any fire or clue in reality

My wording was a bit harsh, apologies, i just was a bit gobsmacked that you've been asking who in world football will come and yet you don't actually follow world football

No problem, I'll be honest, I have lost a lot of interest in it down the years especially with the Champions League games moving to BT Sport. I tend to only bother watching the latter stages of the CL now and the League that I was interested when I was younger in the late 90's was Serie A which has deteriorated a lot.

To clarify, I am 100% not suggesting that Sam Allardyce is the only and best candidate for the Everton job. All I am saying is that if we replace him in the Summer, which I am definitely leaning towards wanting to happen as the weeks go by, I want us to replace him with someone who will be here for say 3+ years and will improve us and also be able to work with the current squad.

We all want a change from this, it's so frustrating to think where we have ended up since hammering Arsenal in 13-14 and looking like favourites for 4th.

BIG problem with that idea though mate is that Allardyce tends at every club he leaves to have created a bigger mess than what he inherrited, so as a problewm solver would seem one of the worst choices imaginable.

Christ, just look at the evidence atm, Lookman shipped off, Vlasic on the missing persons list foir the FBI he's not been seen for that long, Schneiderlin meanwhile an ever present, Williams back min the team, Martina the only player to have started every game for him besides pickford.

I'm not having that the likes of Lookman, Vlasic, Klassen are the problem players hence why they have been forced out - and that Williams and Schneiderlin are the good solid pros we can rely on and are in the fold.

In reality if we have hired a manger like him to judge who can stay and who should leave we are in a bigger mess than i thought, cos right now two of the better young players will be firmly in the camp of him saying get rid

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I agree with it, I just think that's the plan.

One thing I will say about Lookman, Vlasic etc is that no manager purposely gets rid of his best players for no reason. Its counterproductive to his job. None of the players have got much time under 3 different managers so far, same with the ones who are getting game time and there must be a reason for that (one which we are not really seeing on the pitch.)

Think both Vlasic and Lookman where bought for 10m or so for a 19/20 yo is good money fees mate, makes me wonder exactly what 'role' in the team was promised to these lads and if the root cause of any problems is being told one thing then getting the reality they are at best making an occasional bench.

as all three managers played Schneiderlin, continue to play martina etc mate i'm beyond thinking they have a billy igloo frankly.

and coming on like lookman did in the derby then getting nowhere near a squad again must - and rightly so lead to problems, a decent manager knows and avoids those mate, allardyce is a utter dinosaur though

LOOKMAN came on in the Derb, stirred it up, then got jibbed - rightly he's peeved.

With you RE what the effin' 'ell are we telling players? MARTINA I feel for a tad, outta position all season and has just cracked on with it....but there's something not sitting right behind the scenes for me, it's weird.

Can't quite recall feeling so very Mehhhh about the club.

100% on Lookman's side the way he's been treated by Allardyce. Yes he didn't set the league on fire before Allardyce came in, but he offers something most of our squad do not, and he performed well for Allardyce when everybody else was rubbish in the derby. Then he sees Bolasie come instantly back into the team, unfit, play awfully yet retain his place over Lookman. Often not even selected in a matchday squad. Of course he is going to want to get away from this dog of a manager.

Confirms what we know BFS is a poohhead.

Big Fat Sam, Little Fat Sam, Craig the Sneak.

What on earth have we been doing to deserve these three?

Burn them out with fire.
They are not the problem really. They were only appointed because there was a problem. They will be at the club for six months or at most eighteen months unless something goes incredibly well or badly.

The question to be asked is :
How did it get to the state where Sam Allyrdyce was appointed manager of Everton ?

Basically because Moshiri not knowing anything anything about football, leaving the day to day club stuff to others, took advice from Steve Walsh. We are just back to the Walsh stuff again basically, the root of most of the problems at the moment, im just glad the media are starting to pickup on it finally.

Even Martin Samuel is on to him, small piece hidden away in his online column today!

"In Everton’s 4-0 win over West Ham in November, the final match before Sam Allardyce took over, four players aged 21 or under under started and three came on as substitutes, playing a total of 366 minutes.

Losing 5-1 at Arsenal on Saturday, the number of young starters had dropped to one, and the minutes played to 164. Tom Davies was given the second half but one imagines only because, by then, Everton were 4-0 down.

When Ademola Lookman’s absence was mentioned — he has gone to RB Leipzig on loan, where he scored the winner on Saturday — Allardyce began reciting the fees of the players he is using. Theo Walcott, £20m. Yannick Bolasie, £30m.

This is why, from the start, he was the wrong fit for Everton. Allardyce is very good at what he does, but what he does isn’t what Everton require. Allardyce’s teams aren’t top-four contenders, which is where Everton hope to be, and he doesn’t trust youth, which is what has fed Everton’s soul for years.

He keeps teams up, which is hardly the greatest feat at Everton, considering they haven’t been relegated since 1951. Plenty of managers have done that; and nurtured the famous youth system, too."
