They are not the problem really. They were only appointed because there was a problem. They will be at the club for six months or at most eighteen months unless something goes incredibly well or badly.

The question to be asked is :
How did it get to the state where Sam Allyrdyce was appointed manager of Everton ?
Because we have a new owner who hasn't set down a structure or hired the right people at the very top to cascade a sustainable winning culture throughout the club yet. We haven't had a manager who is aligned to the club's overall long term vision, partly because we don't have one, or had a manager that could create one. Because of this the managers have been put at a disadvantage and the players have been allowed to sh*thouse them out to a certain degree. This lack of vision and adherence to any existing strategy had allowed decent players to want out, and overpaying for substandard ones to get them in and now we have a lop sided unbalance squad. Big Fat Sam is but one aspect of this, and needs to go, as do Walsh, Elstone and Kenwright and several of the players who have persistently not performed to the level expected. I do not expect this to be resolved any time soon.

100% on Lookman's side the way he's been treated by Allardyce. Yes he didn't set the league on fire before Allardyce came in, but he offers something most of our squad do not, and he performed well for Allardyce when everybody else was rubbish in the derby. Then he sees Bolasie come instantly back into the team, unfit, play awfully yet retain his place over Lookman. Often not even selected in a matchday squad. Of course he is going to want to get away from this dog of a manager.

that's the worst thing about it init, bolasie come back after a long horrible injury and kept getting picked despite for all to see he was absolutely shocking and still un fit

lookman never got a chance to show what he can do, even 2/3 games in a row, he did get a chance in the derby and I thought he changed the game and thought we was going to go on and win it at one point

the reason sam like koeman pissed off so many people is his reluctance to give others a chance, seasoned pro's who are playing every week and just not turning up

sam is a fool, he hangs people out to dry to make himself look good, not playing sandro saying he give him a chance and he didn't impress, he brought him on against Chelsea for 45 mins when we were getting absolutely mullered and the only service he had was long pumped balls to chase against 3 big strong defenders

lookman as above

cenk is already feeling it, 2 horrible games to come into and gets automatically dropped for niasse who im not convinced is a real footballer

then you have vlasic, shown flashes here and there and doesn't even make match day squads

klaasan, agree he was absolutely shocking under koeman but schneiderlin has been shocking all season and keeps getting picked why not give klaasan another go

Even Martin Samuel is on to him,

he doesn’t trust youth, which is what has fed Everton’s soul for years.

Yeah and during those feeding frenzy years we were crap also, so it's invalid to a point. At this point I will agree that lookman would be a better addition (well no worse anyway) than some of the current starters. It was and currently still is a poison chalice of a job, if Sam is gone in a few months, I don't think even the best available managers out there could do much with this squad of misfits unless you gut the team and it's hard to see that happeneing when you think of the money loss that would be suffered when selling on some of these flops and then you have to rebuild again with another managers players who may shag off sometime in the future when something better comes up, a real catch 22 at this point.

That’s why he’s doing his best not to get there........
Bang on pete. he is trying his best to make us look like a relegation outfit so we just scrape over the line and he can say i did my job. A 10 year old could get a result with our squad. CPFC on saturday with their only star player missing, watch him hand them the initiative.

he can actually win back half the fans if he does the following.

1, admit mistake of loaning out lookman after another game winning performance in Germany.
2. drop schneiderlin and acknowledge his effort can be improve.
3. do not park the bus against bottom half team again, home and away
4. drop martina
5. quickly identify our best striker and build a game plan specifically to feed him with chances. That's Tosun.
6. reduce hoof
7. keep the same lineup after a win. Or at least tweak it at a minimum level.

but I can't see it happening.

It shows the loan has started off succesfully...

4. drop martina

Who for??

Is it?

Can't argue with the rest... though I am not sure we are purely hoofing the ball. We are passing it around the back badly and then hoofing it. Get the lazy gits moving into space for a pass.

even if he did all that he's still a fat unlikeable blurt though

id rather he just fcked off and retired somewhere out of footballs site

Interesting how split the fanbase is. Some seem to be saying we're awful, and others are suggesting that our players are capable enough to have been able to manage themselves in to ensuring survival on their own.

I think it's somewhere in between. I reckon the imbalance of the team, poor managerial decisions, bad luck with injuries, and a neglect by Walsh and Koeman in addressing key areas has turned us in to a poor side in terms of the 11 we keep putting out. But I also think we have some decent players who would perform better with a more balanced side and positive tactics.

Think this team needed rescuing though and their attitude/lack of fight is bad enough with someone in charge as manager, I dread to think how they'd conduct themselves if they had to manage themselves!
