Roberto Martinez discussion

We've looked more assured with stones and Coleman has looked better since stones has been back, with a fully fit McCarthy I don't think we will lose many between now and the end of the season. The bigger picture on the otherhand is to convert them draws in to wins. But I'm confident we can.

And look at us against City, full of pressure and pride in the shirt, then it died against West Brom. My point was that one off games are not a comparison as our season as been a flop from.the get go, and the issues have not been resolved.

I disagree that performances have improved, apart from city and west ham away, the other 2 games have been disappointing.

The squad of players is too good, but we've already witnessed 22 games were it has performed awfully, I mean almost as bad as I've witnessed in my years.

What I've stated people don't like, it has nothing to do with a disliking of RM (as some have you believe), because I don't care who us in charge as long as the points are on the table; for me it was obvious that something was different after about the 4th game of the season, there was just something wrong with the setup compared to the previous year. I've been voicing these concerns most of the season and it's only the last 5 games were I have now said enough is enough.

Like you said, hopefully the break will let them iron out all there issues and openly discuss what's gone wrong, so they come back with desire and fire in the belly and RM comes back with a new approach to stamp last season's performance onto this season.

The proof is in the pudding, and the pudding is palace away. We shall see, because it's a defining moment in our season, and on a more personal note, RM career

The performances haven't been up to last seasons but they've certainly been a step up from our Christmas form, that's what I mean by improving. We were never going to suddenly turn this round over night and those games give us something to build from, Palace won't be easy but given their form since Pardew arrived they'll come at us more with plenty of confidence and we've certainly got the players who can pick them off.

I'd love us to wipe that ****ing smirk off his face and put them back in their place.

I used Bradford because it's the latest football surprise, I could have easily pointed to Stoke beating City. It's football you can't predicte it with any definitive outcome.

Everyone agrees we've been a shadow of the team last season, but it's the same players and the same manager so we know we're capable of much better. We hit rock bottom against Newcastle and Hull and since then we've looked more compact and aggressive and results have improved. The next stage is winning games and gaining much needed confidence, I hope that will start at the weekend and give us a platform to build from.

This squad of players is to good to continue to play as badly as the first half of the season, hopefully this break has been beneficial in sharpening the players minds and we kick on.
That is why other teams have changed their manager and not just gone on a jollyup.

He's an odious arrogant [Poor language removed] and I expect theyll be complacent on Saturday, his teams tend to go on a run of wins followed by a run of defeats.

Hopefully the run of defeats start on Saturday.
Including cup games, 2 draws and 4 wins in the last 6 games. They're due a loss.

We all would Dave, but not just to end the CP run, the main thing here would be 3 points, an away win, a win of which joy we have not experienced for many months and games.

But, but, but we're 12th...with only 16 games left to save ourselves...that means if this happens and that happens and other stuff happens, we're doomed!

If we get relegated and teams like Leicester and Burnley stay up then we don't deserve to be anywhere near the Prem, in fact the players should be round up and shot.
