Roberto Martinez discussion

I agree completely, and that's why I'm not panicking or going mad about things, but it's also worth noting that we're 3 points off 13th and another season in the bottom half is not an appealing prospect. At the moment I'm positive, but let's not kid ourselves that we're flying.
Can you ease up on the realism please.

I do think part of the problem is Martinez has raised expectations. When he came I said to my dad "I don't really care where we finish, as long as we win 4-3 sometimes, and lose 4-3 sometimes". Then we had such a great season in 13/14 and expectations were raised. Now he has Barkley, Stones, Delofeu and Lukaku and we expect a lot more, even though we have spent no money.
Disagree top 8 will do, this season, Moyes managed that on the regular, with less spent and worse players.

I agree, we are poised on a knifes edge, what with how congested sixth through thirteenth is, but with a decent run of games coming up and the general good play from the squad, I see a lot of reasons for optimism. And Bobby is to thank for that optimism, I have a lot of faith in that Catalan

Thats fine and I have said before all in all his current over all stats aren't too bad, but when you look at it as any data analyist would he got 21 league wins in his first 38, 12 in his 2nd 38 and is currently on 5 in his first 14 of this season.

I'd stick to data analysis and give football a miss if I were you....no one ever enjoyed watching statistics for 90 mins.

It's a really tightly contested league this year, that's all you can say really.

No we're not flying but our current form is fine. The sky isn't falling like some posts may suggest.

In a smiliar way that no Evertonian enjoyed watching Everton not win just over 67% OF THE PAST 52 MATCHES.

Strange as it may seem to a statistician some football fans enjoy watching their team play irrelevant of the score. As a man of the math I would have thought you'd be aware that the probability of winning a very high percentage of games isn't huge. Go check your logarithms to see of we'll best Palace on Monday.

We won't we will lose 3-2

We entertain now, under Moyes we were DULL. That's why I'm desperate for us to get into Europe, so we can keep watching this type of football.
Tbf to Moyes some of his football was very entertaining, especially Baines/Pienaar/Fellaini for example. The "defend for your lives" bits weren't enjoyable as such but I wouldn't describe them as dull either!
