Roberto Martinez discussion

Agreed yet only wins 17 in 52. Pathetic really given the talent at his disposal.

:coffee:

Idk, what seems more pathetic to me is having a "straight outta ideas" avatar while moaning about last season when we are in a semifinal and occupying a very promising position after the most difficult opening fixture list in the entire league. But hey, context, who gives a damn about that amirite?

That'll be 51 wins, 31 draws and 31 losses in 113 games with a win pct of 45.
Thats fine and I have said before all in all his current over all stats aren't too bad, but when you look at it as any data analyist would he got 21 league wins in his first 38, 12 in his 2nd 38 and is currently on 5 in his first 14 of this season.

the difficult start is starting to look a bit small time give that their is only 4 teams for us yet to play, one of which martinez has lost twice to at home in terms of palace and we have also played chelsea UTD liverpool and City at home so we still have to go away to them in the back 19, but you keep telling yourself our first 14 have been harder than anyone elses I would assume that west ham and liverpool would disagree.

to be fair saying being 9th is 'very promising' and 14 games is a 'start' doesn't suggest that you're looking at this very objectively. Being in a semi is good, some of our performances have been good, but this whole 'why are you moaning?' Thing really grates on me. 9th is nowhere near good enough for this side. Drawing at Bournemouth is not a disaster, but coming on the back of dropped points against Watford, Swansea, West Ham, etc it is clearly going to annoy people. It's bizarre that people can't comprehend how fans can be behind the manager but disappointed with how things are going.

No mate, but cup ties definitely do.

So he had a lot more than 12 wins last years and more than 5 this present year.
thats fine, getting a bit tedious now mate, you're certainly not going to convince me our current form is good, we have won 8 in 19 this season in all comps 3 of the 8 were against teams from a league below us or lower. If you're happy with that fine, stop telling me about it.

Absolutely and we should be 3 points behind Arsenal but we've got a run here where we can use this current momentum to have a real good go at chasing this top 4. Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham have all had "amazing" starts to the season if you listen to some pundits and we are right in striking distance of those.

5 unbeaten, you can only play what is in front of you.

17 goals in those 5 games. I'd say our current form is fine.

We're not Barcelona mate, we're not going to win every game.

If you can find ONE post of mine that says I expect to win every game then I will change My Avatar to what ever you want for the rest of time, I'm simply saying that when referring to our form as good enough to want to play a fellow PL team and not only that, the title favorites I wouldn't consider 2 wins in 7 as good form against our peers (If you want to count norwich as a win fair enough) but that doesn't do it for me, so stop 'alerting me' as i feel obliged to reply due me being a polight person.
