Lets say that the term "opening fixture list" comprises of the first ten matches, that seems to be fair as it is a good chunk of the season, that's over a quarter of total games played after all. The opening ten is what I meant originally by opening fixture list, and that is what I originally intended to judge "most difficult opening fixtures on." I apologize for not making it clearer what I meant by opening fixture list, I did not mean the matches we had played up until this point, but rather the matches that had comprised the first quarter of our season.
Everton: Watford(H), Southampton(A), Tottenham(A), Man City(H), Chelsea(H), Swansea(A), West Brom(A), Liverpool(H), Man United(H), Arsenal(A)
West Ham: Arsenal(A), Leicester(H), Bournemouth(H), Liverpool(A), Newcastle(H), Man city(A), Norwich(H), Sunderland(A), Palace(A), Chelsea(H)
Liverpool: Stoke(A), Bournemouth(H), Arsenal(A), West Ham(H), United(A), Norwich(H), Aston Villa(H), Everton(A), Tottenham(A), Southampton(A)
All told, I would argue we had the most difficult start of the three, more so than West Ham and Liverpool as you argued. There isn't much cause for concern for me, as we are within striking distance of the European places with a promising run of matches.
