Roberto Martinez discussion

well osman and Cleverley have been our worst two players tonight so I stand by what I said in they should never have been picked.

Tonight's result will buy him some more time but I'm afraid he's operating from week to week now. This thread shows you that with only a slight negative turn of results the fans will potentially turn against him so he's in a lose-lose scenario or he would be if the board gave a toss.

Think you're just talking about a small, neurotic minority of the overall fan-base their, Kev.

Whatever mate you saw the match they were appalling potentially worse than villa

They've won 5 of their last 6 games, only lost once at home this season in the league, have the best defensive home record in the championship conceding only 2 goals, 2nd in the league, and we beat them tonight, comfortably, because we were too good for them.

So you don't like us scoring loads of goals?

goals are always ace, we've never scored a bad one, it's the ones at the other end that do me crust in, check the tread title...it's about Bobby

I happen to think he's just another flavour of bang average, different in style to Moyes but with the same end result aka the 7th-ish trophy and we could win more, well actually draw less, with a change an emphasis, which Martinez has stated on numerous occasions he won't do.

That's pretty much my view and has been for nearly a year now...so in card terms I'll stick, tbh I get fed up putting the same point across...as I'm sure you do...thinking are they all 'kin blind or what.
hey ho that's opinions for you innit

Think it could be all over for him if we don't get a result tonight. Picking Osman and Cleverley is playing into the hands of his critics. The non s/hithouse option would be to go with Barry and Gibson in the centre with kev and Deulofeu out wide. Instead he's backed his unfit waste of a summer signing and a man who has barely played any football this season.

Awkward.

Best ever PL points total, Everton playing the type of football only played by an Everton team since the great 1969/70 and 80s teams, a team in transition from old over the hill players to younger players who are the best of their generation.

It doesn't feel like much of a corner I'm in.

sure looks like one from my corner...oh wait ...does that mean what I think it means, who cares it's all opinions anyway.

as again I maintain that more could be got from these players, here and now, by pursuing a Goldilocks option of not too much Moyes and not too much Martinez.

and again I agree with your points Re Martinez turning into Mr Everton and, baring a really major shake up, yes he will be here for years.
