Roberto Martinez discussion

Gone away and had a fume.

The positives:

1) when we wanted to be, we were very very good
2) Another goal for Rom (equalling his tally from last season), another assist for Del, Barkley scored (equalling a season best). Ramiro opened his account

Negatives
1) No leader in the backline - Stones needs to make the step up here I think. Coleman was appalling defensively
2) Poor subs
3) McCarthy injured and I don't think Cleverly was the best like for like replacement
4) need more defense on the wings if we're going to sit back and not press - Osman could actually have been helpful here.

As hard as this is to take - and it feels like we lost twice - it wasn't a loss, it was a draw. Bournemouth have had a lot of bad luck and it righted itself here - them playing with a third choice keeper! We have to pick ourselves up and snot Boro and not lose 3-2 to Palace again. I think after a lot of positive words written about us (with every right) this performance reminds us that it has to be more consistent to be anything more than potential. If this came in the middle of the Christmas period (rather than right before), it would have been utterly devastating - same in spring, but as it is it's a timely warning. Bob will know that and I don't think he'll be happy. We have to keep our game up and keep pressing and sometimes grind out the last 10 minutes rather than skip through it.

Still think the ref should have blown for time but that's no excuse. Palace will be a tough game

Very worrying result tbh. No way would you see any of the top 6 draw 3-3 against injury hit bournmouth with their 3rd choice keeper out on the field when 2-0 up at 80 minutes.

Literally only a few days ago City, the best side in the league, drew with Villa, the worst side in the league.

A 0-0 result against a side that plays 10 behind the ball happens to every side. This result today has hurt more than most defeats in recent seasons tbh. Just the complete manner of it, Bournemouth have been hands down the worst side in the league and had their 4 best players out injured + 3rd choice keeper on the field.

We conceded 3 goals against them in 17 minutes and the sheer arrogance/defeatism mixture of that 2nd half is hard to stomach from such a talented side. It hurts more knowing we are so close to achieving things with these players but no Europe qualification come end of the season and you can kiss goodbye to Lukaku, Stones and possibly barkley if he doesn't sign a new deal having only 2 years left on his deal come August.

Villa have been a lot worse then Bournemouth and probably Newcastle and Sunderland too.

No they haven't. Villa have, comfortably. Newcastle are also currently below Bournemouth in the table.

Stop trying to be a judge. Go home. This is a free world you can say whatever you like. There is always an ignore botton out there. You are not mods so just accept the rules of this forum. Bye.
sorry about your luck punk but you are speaking trash and while that happen you gonna have me to contend with.
that is not a good thing. change your ways before you get hurt.

I love bobby's attacking intent and that obviously means we're going to be a bit light at the back sometimes. Jagielka and Baines will tighten things up a bit. My biggest concern is the fitness of most of our players.they haven't got 90 minutes in them
