Roberto Martinez discussion

Roberto's good but let's be honest - iff we stumbled on a world-beater of a manager the bigger boys would be queueing up to take him off us. So no point in getting upset.
Agreed. Roberto is a decent, likable guy and he manages a football club (through all the grades) very well. But he is a pretty limited coach. Having said that, Everton is lucky to have him, there are a lot worse out there. I do wish though that we had got Pochettino. He is a very good coach

Agree we sat back in the second half, gave up possesion and tried to play on the break. I can understand the reasoning, often people say it is how we play best, and we had a couple of chances to make it 3-0 that if scored should have put things to bed.

Just think we sat back a bit too much and McCarthy going off plus Kone/Deulofeu tiring hindered it even more. That first goal was a beauty but with a bit better concentration we should have been able to stop the other two going in.

Think that is different that giving up and letting heads drop though. Particularly when they equalised thought we made a determined improvement in our efforts resulting in Barkley scoring, which we then screwed up again by some sloppy play!

Not arguing that we should have seen the game out, just disagree that there was a character collapse.
Have to agree to disagree mate hope ur well

I remember saying get him off get him (from my arm chair watching my dodgy stream) during the Swansea game for about 10 minutes every time I seen him, did the same this one for. Still really like Martinez but I'd love him to explain why he didn't take him off, He looked extremely tired and was being had off every time down his side.
I assume your talking about kone.
Leaving him and galloway to struggle today was bad management by golden bollox.

The manner of todays result is always going to skew peoples opinions. To concede a 98th minute equalizer put me beyond fuming. Poor in game management by both players and manager but hopefully it's just a blip.

Let's not forget we've won our last 2 home games more than comfortably and drawn our last 2 aways which is good form. If we can progress in the cup and get at least 4 points from Palace at home and Norwich away it will have been a very good few weeks. Lot of ifs like...

Very well put.
Lets hope the players and manager learn because they were BOTH responsible for todays fiasco

Our last three games have been against the three worst sides in the league.

I thought Bournemouth were a lot better team than us today. I haven't seen them at all this season so I was surprised at how easily they took us apart in the second half. That we are 7th and them 19th seems unbelievable. Suspect they won't be relegated.
