RM comparison with Mourinho from last night

I also think it shows how far we've come with RM that we expected to beat them at Anfield, something we never do,

The end of the day whether it was 1 0 or 4 0 or 10 0 it's 3 points. We lost 3 points last night. We've had 3 losses all season. We turn up to every game now expecting and wanting a win.

I don't actually think there's any real difference between us this year and us last, tbh.

Once you hit acceptance you can move on :)

My moment came in the FA cup semi final. Once we lost that, I just chalked it down to them being a bogey side and I won't ever get angry again about losing to them.

I can't see a light at the end of the tunnel :P

Worst hiding in my lifetime! I will be alright by Saturday... hopefully.

I think Martinez is far from the finished article and we will see a lot from him that were negatives at Wigan. However i have also seen enough from him so far that suggests that given the same time frame as Moyes and you would think finances to build HIS team then we will be succesfull under him.

Irony is Moyes was hand picked for the United job, perhaps MArtinez in 10 years would interest Arsenal?

Watch us against Arsenal/United this season. We went to win. Massive difference. The squad have a fight now

Better performance at old trafford, worse performance at anfield. Better liverpool team, worse man u team. Much of a muchness, really.

Last year we played some great stuff at home, but couldn't grind out results away, struggled to keep pace with the Cl contenders, finished 6th with 63 points and lost in the quarters of the fa cup after doing nothing in the league cup. I wouldn't be shocked if we do about the same this year.

Which is fine, it's a new manager, new players, new style, keeping pace with last season is very good and promises much. But this idea that we've raised the stakes which is why a 4-0 derby loss hurts when last year it wouldn't, nah don't buy it.

Regarding effectiveness. Obvious differences in style.

Ok yer agree, Thought you meant the playing style for a min

The problem we have and will always have is top quality forward players cost money, Big money

We have

Barkley - Free
Pineaar - 5m
Kev - 6m
Lukaku - Loan
Naismith - Free
Osman - Free
Del - Loan

Look at those lot yesterday with 50m+ worth of forward line, That's the difference

Barkleys shot in the first minute or so flies in rather than a foot over... Different game. Just saying

Senor Martinez. Best thing to happen to Everton for years.

A bit of cash and he'll get us there. Thanks for breathing life back into this club.

He can do one, Moyes wouldn't have let us get so badly hammered. Martinez was a fool last night, his tactics did not work, and he stuck with them and landed us with the worse defeats by them in 32 years.

The other negative for the night was now the rest of the league know how to stuff us, I'm fully expecting 2/3 more of these hammerings this season.

Forza Bobby? Nah you're OK.

his hands were tied, he literally HAD to play jagielka and alcaraz, even if they were nowhere near fit.

with the benefit of hindsight, i guess you would have chosen hibbert and heitinga in your first team? same with pienaar really, it was either him or mcgeady who apparently isn't fully fit either.

had our only fit first team striker go off injured and had to bring on naismith because, yet again, he had no other option, all our other strikers are injured.

need to be realistic here, no manager would have shown up good in a derby game with so many people out. he played the best XI he had available to him, after that, it's up to the players.
