Going against some others here, I do not want to see any "safe standing" areas in the new stadium or in any stadium for that matter---it will be only a matter of time until someone gets seriously hurt or killed. I wish this whole "safe standing" trend would be dropped as a means to pack in people for profit. It only takes about 1-5 trouble-makers in the wrong standing zone to cause other good folks to panic and stampede.

It's so that you can stand up without fear of being thrown over the seats in front of you, like what is happening now..

You would still be thrown over a rail, though. So that doesn't seem to solve anything. (still reading the wiki page though).

Gonna think about this some more as my initial impressions seem not congruent with what I've just read (albeit quickly), so I could just be wrong on this regarding safety.
