Ahhhhh...well bug! I actually remember hearing about this but thought they'd knocked it on the head when they got found out.

I think it's Arsenal, the two Manchester clubs,Watford,West Ham and Saints who all do this. Nothing wrong with it,but it doesn't give a true reflection of crowd size. Years ago at Everton you always suspected that it was the other way round, standing on a rammed Glwadys Street and a crowd of 28000 would show up on the scoreboard!

So basically, what you're saying is you are a snob.

No im saying I know this clubs size and potential and im sick of the owners and fanbase holding us back from where we belong - and thats not alongside clubs like Watford, West Ham and Wolves.

So I was watching the Arsenal Burnley match today and the Emirates looked empty. Again, it's Burnley, so I get it, at least kind of. But it looked kind of pathetic.

Is the logic that the seats are all sold, so the revenue is there, so who cares about the atmosphere? Seems to me, better atmosphere helps keep people after, gets people there before, increases the tourist $$$ as the experience is great, etc.

To me, there's definitely a balance there. Is that why many here were thinking 54-55 is better than 52? I'm trying to understand the arguments because I think in this case, there's a very different attitude towards these things for your average American.

The tree in your house, sorry bedsit, must be massive, what size is it mate? 20foot?

I feel sorry for fans like yourself.

Fed off Kenwrights bull for years and you have the audacity to attack fans who KNOW what this clubs history and size truly is.

The same fools who clapped Bill on the big screen, wanted Unsworth as our manager and took Wayne back with open arms.

Spurs announce the number of fans though the turnstiles not the number of tickets sold.

The worst culprits are Woolwich (on average their crowd is 6k under what is stated), West Ham (stated 55k and is really circa £43k and I think the two Manchester clubs also do similar.

I don't think it shows a lack of ambition at all. 52000 is realistic in my opinion. Go over the last 10 years and see the amount of times we have had a full house. It's not actually that many times other than the bigger games like Liverpool and Manchester United. All clubs want the stadium full and bouncing but actually it's the TV money where the majority of your money comes from so capacity has nothing to do with ambition.

Explain to me then why all the big clubs have big stadiums then? Why doesn't United have a 40,000 seater stadium then? Why did city bother moving to a 55,000 seater stadium? Why have spurs spent close to 1 billion pounds on building a new stadium when they could of just stayed at white heart lane that was 36,000?

We have more season ticket holders then Liverpool, we have a bigger fan base then Newcastle, west ham and Sunderland, look at the size of their grounds.

For the last 3 seasons we've had waiting lists on our season tickets and before that getting a ticket that wasn't a restricted view was a absolut nightmare. Also since 1995 we've averaged aroung 36-37,000 attendance a game. Considering we only have 39,527 capacity and a lot of restricted view seats. I'd say we have done alright for capacity.

Kenwright has done a right number on our fanbase these past near 2 decades and I fear the damage done will take generations to heal.

One of the biggest villians in EFC's history and speaks volumes he's still associated with this failing club.

Mate I honestly pity fans like you, you never feel the joy of supporting this great club, you only aim to try and belittle it with every word you type.

Little heads up, its NOT 1985 anymore, we havent won a thing for 23 years and we are no nearer to doing so.

Just go the game, support the lads on the pitch and enjoy the small victories.

Goodbye forever, hope you have a horrid Christmas.

And you know why we haven't won a carrot in 23 years?

Bill Kenwright and fans like you who have let the owners take the mick out of us for decades.

Merry Christmas to you ya filthy animal.

Your figures are pretty accurate mate but what you need to look at as well is stuff like 2011/2012 where attendance averaged 33000. That means we would have a stadium only 3/4 full. I'm not saying your wrong. But that surely shows 52000 is more than big enough.

It is what it is. It wasn’t too long ago you could get a half price season ticket at Goodison - we sell out most league games these days, but go back to Moyes and I reckon most home games you could walk up and get a ticket. Cup games - reckon we sell out out? Even the extra credit sees many lads buy a ticket in the early rounds and not go. Goodison has become easy for us to get to, given the recent survey on transport I reckon it ain’t going to be as comfortable at the new place as we think in terms of getting there and away as handy as we have it now.

So to reckon we can bank on 60k week in week out is fanciful in my reckoning based on our current form.. Club have got it right by my reckoning, 50k there week in week out then say we want more has to be the way to go based on actual experience not what we think ahead of actual experience. Depends on how many corporate seats we do as well, I’d love to say hand on heart we can sell out 60k every week.....if I’m honest based on where we are, after the curiosity dies down, I don’t see it. Throw in a trophy and a winning side.....absolutely. So, having the option of increasing capacity at a later date makes sense to me.
