Football is a kick and run game...isnt it?? You can jostle for position on Fifa, off and on the ball. If thats what else you mean...ad I reckon the shooting in PES is laughable, where Fifa its spot on.

After to agree to disagree mate. Can you still lob the keeper all the time on Fifa 10? Or hit the post from 5 yards out? Cant you score on PES or something?

And no, its not a kick and run game. Fifa always promotes these fancy tricks and step overs and ultimately....they dont do anything or give you any space that a simple kick and run doesnt do in Fifa.

I dont think so. They would get spanked. Of course theres individuality. Fast players run fast and good headers head good. And its down to your own skill levels. Your going on about tactics but in reality, arent you supposed to be controlling whether your players do what they do? How funny would it be if they just didnt do what buttons you pushed! Probably not because your controller would be broken. And that would suck. And Spurs would and should get spanked every time they take the field thank you. Unless its against the Red shoite.

Like I say, basic individual skills like running, etc is always going to be noticable. But actually controlling the ball, dribbling etc never really feels like one player is better than the other. You can stick Jo on the left wing and he's still perform like Ashley Young whipping in crosses. Messi can bash Ballack off the ball. I know he's good, but he's not THAT strong.

It seems in the new game you can dictate what you players do around you. Like I say, if you dont want Gerrard advanced or taking long range efforts, you cab take that off and he'll hover in the middle of the park etc. Dani Alves will always over lap Messi. You can take that off and just having support him depending on the game. There's individuality for you IMO.

And the way the players move and look like it real player (how they take free kicks, celebrate etc) is far better than Fifa and always have been.

Dont think so. See my point about standing tackles. BAM youve got the ball, BAM youve lost it, BAM youve got the ball again. Thats timed button bashing, and anyone whose played PES knows that. No effort, no tactical masterstroking, Just bashing.

You do the same on Fifa with standing tackles. Anytime someone tries to pull of some step overs, you can just stand their, stick out a foot and get the ball easily. The BAM effect youre talking about just seems to a difference between the ball sticking to players on PES than on Fifa where the floaty ball bounces all over the shop. Although I will admit the Fifa way of controlling the ball is far more realistic that PES's "get the ball, turn, run" approach. But its always been like that.

Goat complained about getting sent of on slide tackles in the previous PES games. That's all about timing. With Fifa you can flying with tackles all over the place and easily get the ball.

Therein lies your contradiction. Or is it a throwaway line? I could imagine Seth Rogen saying that in a movie. You LIKE Fifa, but its easy AND unsatisfying.

Not really. Its more like saying McDonalds is tasty, easy and quick to get hold of but in the end its a bit unsatisfying. That's what I get from Fifa.

Don't talk to Chico like that. He's a good egg that one.

BAM! Ive got the ball...

Going round in circles mate.

Got the ball, kick, run, cross....GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway cant we just agree on that there's 2 good football games out/coming out and its a matter of prefrence rather than 1 ultimate football game?

You have to admit Fifa isnt perfect. Neither is PES. But all you get from Fifa heads is that its PERFECT. You seem like someone who hates PES, loves Fifa. I like both games but if I had to buy one it would be PES for the reasons stated. I think I look at them both with a level head.

I didn't even try to lob the keeper on FIFA 09, I always seemed to put it over the cross bar or the keeper would save it. On FIFA 10 I can actually get it up and over the keeper properly I just need to get it on target. Free kick taking is easier aswell. I can actually get it up and over the wall unlike 09. Although I didn't try that much, I always just went for power. I do the opposite in 10.

Me and my bro used to just lob the keeper from ridiculous angles that it became a joke on FIFA 09. Free kicks on that game were simple to do once you knew that if you timed the power bar to stop 2 bars from full power you'll get it on target or score most of the time

McBain has made far too much sense in this thread.

Apart from the 'BAM' standing tackle thing. That's basically all FIFA is mate.

Non-sense more like lid!

Even Fifa fans dont agree with each other.

Im with Cheeks....Bad teds the lot of you.

Now...get back to your half chinese Wayne Rooney and start lobbing from the half way line will ya.

FIFA is awesome, but I prefer the gameplay of Pro Evo. And now that EA are being pricks and releasing horrible, disgusting and [Poor language removed] PC versions of the game, they can go do one. For that reason alone I'm never going to be a big FIFA person.

I'd say about 1 in 20 of the goals I've scored or conceded on fifa have come about as a result of good play rather than a through ball into artificially created space or a ridiculous tackling scramble.

IGN's summerisation is there usual one - Graphics, Sound, Presentation average. Gameplay and lasting appeal 9 out of 10. Master League alone is meant to be immersive.

CVG's review is very odd and completely the opposite to IGN's. IGN said it was fun, CVG says its not and more realistic.....bit weird.

And Eurogamer just said it was [Poor language removed], did a Fifa VS PES review, and gave it an average score after praising it in its features.

All reviews have been done without online being played. So scores will either go up or down depending on how that pans out. Overall reviews seem to be saying...PES 2010 its like the old PES but compared to the new, fresher Fifa it feels dated.
