Pro Evo 2010 - all in here

This thread makes me laugh.

I'd bundle the Pro Evo lovers with the Mac humpers and the anti pineapple brigade.

Simple fact: Pro Evo is the Japanese version of football. For more information on the Japanese version of anything go to Japan. Its abit weird. You play Pro Evo and you can just tell its from Japan. Its the economy of movement, its the render, its the style of the game.

Pro Evo was awesome in 1998. That version rocked because it had through balls. But the shooting, the arcade 'soccer' feel, the bog standard gameplay, the no-licences and the LFC connection make this game a waste of money. I've found people who can't play Fifa play pro evo. See: Mikelsgoat.

Reasons why i dont like this game.

I don't like the ball dynamics. It doesn't feel like it has any weight to it. You can shoot by merely tapping the shoot button and the ball goes flying over the bar. What the? Its also intergrated more into the camera work. (Looking from high Tele view on both) The camera for Fifa is more fluent, while the Evo camera moves seemingly with every touch. You might like this, but for me its annoying.

The players are too rigid. I you watch them on fifa they will dribble with either foot, be more sensitive to the touch and more fluent in their motion. They open up when they get the ball, they look like they are thinking about what they are doing. Pro Evo players do everything in forced movements. And they all do the same jerky move when they recieve the ball.

Tackling. Play Pro Evo and tackle the ball in a standing tackle. Bam! Its taken off you and if you quick enough Bam! You win it back, the Bam! Its taken off you again. Its a last man standing thing and its not realistic.

Im hardly gonna pick FIFA up, after playing Pro Evo for the last 3 years and be superb at it, surely any game takes getting used to. Im getting better, still some things to iron out in my game, but im getting there.

More power to you MG. Im just the Devils Advocaat.

I feel like McBain has said something very intelligent and for that, I am now exclusively a FIFA player

No they weren't, you could change your formations and individual game tactics to attack and defend, but nothing on individual players or positions. And yes I do put the difficulty so those 5-0s turn to 2-0s from amateur to pro

well in know u can in 10 and im pretty sure you could on 09. i would check but i traded in09 when i got 10

I don't hate the new FIFA. It's probably the best one so far (which isn't that difficult). My mate is a bit of a FIFA nerd and I battered him on it 3-2 last night. Admittedly, it is quite good fun, but it can also be bloody infuriating. Yes FIFA gets the licenses etc. etc. but on the pitch (where it matters), Pro Evo is better. Which is why I prefer it. Simple.

Ahhh bollocks...I wrote a massive reply back but the comp froze grrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway, basically I was saying you could label the same problems with PES on Fifa (penny floater balls, poor long range shooting, bobbles, no weight to the players, dribbling that amounts to nothing, mainly a kick and run game).

I think tactics and stats dont really mean much on Fifa. You can go Donny Rovers and spank Spurs everywhere. There's no individuality with the players, all the top players play the same.

PES while arcade-like is more intelligent in that you've got to break teams down. Individual players stand out. Better teams control games more. Takes a bit of effort.

And I can play Fifa, I like Fifa. I just find it easy and unsatisfying.

Anyway, if not a Fifa VS PES thread. Its a PES thread. NOthing PES related......PLEASE LEAVE!!!!!

Another reason to like PES.....

From a forum -

Attention Newcastle United Fans

Well Geordie Boys ...

I'm having a problem ...

In all PES titles I have only ever used Newcastle & England.

Presumably NUFC is not going to be in PES2010

I can't stand the thought of using one of the 'Noob' teams i.e. Real Madrid, Barca, the Milan teams etc ... I also can not bring myself to use another British club.

Now that Newcastle are not going to be in the PES game until at least the next title PES2011:

'Who Are You Going To Play As?'

The barcodes? Completely wiped from the game? Beautiful LOL

Football is a kick and run game...isnt it?? You can jostle for position on Fifa, off and on the ball. If thats what else you mean...ad I reckon the shooting in PES is laughable, where Fifa its spot on.

I dont think so. They would get spanked. Of course theres individuality. Fast players run fast and good headers head good. And its down to your own skill levels. Your going on about tactics but in reality, arent you supposed to be controlling whether your players do what they do? How funny would it be if they just didnt do what buttons you pushed! Probably not because your controller would be broken. And that would suck. And Spurs would and should get spanked every time they take the field thank you. Unless its against the Red shoite.

Dont think so. See my point about standing tackles. BAM youve got the ball, BAM youve lost it, BAM youve got the ball again. Thats timed button bashing, and anyone whose played PES knows that. No effort, no tactical masterstroking, Just bashing.

And I can play Fifa, I like Fifa. I just find it easy and unsatisfying.

Therein lies your contradiction. Or is it a throwaway line? I could imagine Seth Rogen saying that in a movie. You LIKE Fifa, but its easy AND unsatisfying.

Don't talk to Chico like that. He's a good egg that one.

BAM! Ive got the ball...
