Wow how many of you forget.

It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that a player new to the Premiership more often than not needs a bit of time to adjust to the pace of play.

Heitinga had a rough day but has too much quality. He'll adjust like every other foreign player does. He can also play a few different positions for us so that's helpful. Give him a few matches before passing judgement (how many times have I had to say that on this forum before?)

This result could have gone either way but we got it. Portsmouth played better than I thought they would and if they keep playing like that, I see no reason why they can't pull themselves out of the relegation zone.

Too bad that their dimwitted supporters couldn't understand that Pienaar was hurt. You'd think that after what happened at Old Trafford last week, that anyone would understand that timewasting wouldn't work anyway as the referee would be sure that the time was added on.

Good for me: Saha, Howard, Pienaar.

Average: Fellaini, Cahill, Osman, Baines, Distin, Yobo

Bit of a rough day: Heitinga, Rodwell.

Good to see Billy get some time along with Jo & Hibbert.

Moyes is gonna have a real selection dilemma when Jags, Neville, Arteta, and Anichebe make it back. Perhaps a loan for Anichebe?

I thought Heitinga did ok today personally. Even if everyone else thought he was bad, can't believe people are getting on his back already. He had a boss game at centre-back against Hull

heitinga was pretty poor in the first have but i think apart from one moment in the second half when ben-haim had his header opportunity otherwise at the death when it mattered he was solid

we didnt play well atall but i`m having to watch the highlights, it was a really significate win and not just becuase it was our 1st away.

i didn't think Heitinga was that bad
he wasn't brilliant but he was alright
let's give him some time to settle in

maybe he should play as a defensive mid, putting Neill at RB

He got skinned twice in the first half on give and go's as he didn't keep up with his man.

I think it really comes down to him adjusting to the pace.

No Bill! You must look at ze bigger picture!

We would rather lose and look amazing than win and look bad!

Its all about Primetime, bums on seats, step overs, hairstyles = cha ching in the bank.

Dead sexy football! Ugly wins, 3 ground out points, grit, determination, BAH!

We must

We must

We must play it on the ground against stoke at goodisson, there wont be any difference in stoke and everton if we play the ugly air tennis.

Awful performance, happy with the points. I think we've lost steel and now pienaar. Roswell isn't experienced enough to deal with high tempo physical games. Heitinga was hit and miss, needs 1 position to settle in. Distin was poor, don't think he and yobo are clicking too well. Howard was awesome though.
