Koeman's intent is to have the ball much higher up the pitch and that's where Wayne's still hard to handle. If he can do one thing, it's put off signing until we show him what else we plan to put up front to keep the ball.

A non-arsed yes, as a squad player. Better than Valencia/ Kone.
The poll is too simplistic. It does not account for the many conditions that would have to be satisfied for most of us to simply vote yes.
I vote yes, as long as:
(1) It did not prevent us financially from signing younger, fitter, potentially better players/team builders for the long term.
(2) We can get the best out of his remaining years, to mentor these players and plug the gaps in the current squad (as well as correct the lowered expectation mentality that has lingered far too long at Everton) and...
(3) We sign him purely objectively, for football reasons alone (as well as increasing global brand exposure). No room for sentimentality. Please!
He is not the prodigal son. He is a naturally gifted, experienced international, who, for reasons known only to him (unfinished business, personal ambition?), wants to actually play for us (unlike some in the current squad).
He must know we would not give him an easy ride. We would expect him to bleed for every penny he gets. This should not be a soft retirement package. With that in mind. If I were him, I would take the eastern money and run, eat Chinese food for a year, before retiring to North Wales with the sheep!
